15.01.2022 At 11 am on 11 November 1918, Germany called for an armistice (suspension of fighting) and accepted the allied terms of unconditional surrender, bringing an end to World War One. The four-year conflict had left between nine and 13 million dead and as many as one third of these with no grave. In Australia and other allied countries, including New Zealand, Canada and the United States, 11 November became known as Armistice Day a day to remember those who died in World War On...e. The tradition of stopping at 11am started on the very first Armistice Day in 1919 and continues to this day. #lestweforget2020 #remembranceday

We are so privileged to have such a rich and diverse community at Undurba. Happy Diwali! Diwali is the Indian festival of lights, usually lasting five days and celebrated during the Hindu Lunisolar month Kartika. One of the most popular festivals of Hinduism, Diwali symbolizes the spiritual "victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance".

05.01.2022 3B created a collaborate piece of artwork for NAIDOC week. Each student was given an A4 printed sheet to colour in. The instructions given to each student were: land to be coloured in warm colours and the ocean to be coloured in cool colours [concepts learnt in Visual Arts this year].... Once individual sheets were coloured in we glued them all together to create our beautiful country. 3B thoroughly enjoyed blindfolding Mrs Matheson for the BIG reveal of our team work! Mrs Matheson rose to the occasion and made it extremely exciting for the students!
