25.01.2022 UNE 12 Hours in the Piney 2020 Cancellation Well, at least we don’t have to wait 34 years to see the next version. Yes folks, unlike Topgun & Maverick, our adventure will reconvene but not 34 years later (plus Goose lives in our version) Following the necessary decision to postpone the WEMBO World 24 Hour Mountain Bike Championships for 2020, the 10th UNE 12 Hours in the Piney will also have to quarrel with its iso-bod as NEMTB have also had to cancel this ‘highly social’ ...event in a time of social distancing. The current Covid-19 Pandemic and its status both around the world and in our backyard makes this decision necessary yet disappointing. Fear not - you can still ask you bike on a date though (we bet you won’t get rejected either) Lock it in: 6-7 November 2021 for the WEMBO 2021 24 Hour Mountain Bike Championships. So in the meantime, take your dog for a ride he used to love you for it but then you got all serious about your training. Go for a ride, like a proper fang in the forest where you jump for jump sake, get dirt in your eye and remember what it is to pick out muck from your teeth cause you can’t wipe the smile off your face. We’re all in this together so please stay safe and we’ll catch you next year in the beautiful New England region of Northern New South Wales.

15.01.2022 TRAFFIC UPDATE - Bush Fires (PLEASE SHARE) For travellers coming to Armidale for this weekend's 2019 UNE 12 Hours in the Piney in conjunction with the 2019 Nat Champs and WEMBO Asia-Pacific Continental Championships, please note that CURRENTLY: * the Waterfall Way road between Grafton to Armidale (via Ebor) is closed near Billys Creek, as is the Gwydir Highway between Grafton to Glen Innes (via Gibraltar Range). * the Oxley Highway between Wauchope and Walcha is closed.... Please keep following the Live Traffic NSW computer link or phone app to keep up-do-date with current road closures: https://www.livetraffic.com Also, the "Fires Near Me" computer link or phone app is very useful: https://www.rfs.nsw.gov.au/fire-information/fires-near-me For some of you, this may mean having to allow extra travel time to get to Armidale. For travellers coming from the Grafton or Port Macquarie areas, it is suggested driving via Coffs Harbour. The travel distance time is around 2 & a half hours from Coffs Harbour to Armidale (via Bellingen & Ebor). THERE IS NO BUSH FIRES IN THE ARMIDALE & SURROUNDING AREA & THEREFORE THE EVENT WILL NOT BE IMPACTED BY THE FIRES.

13.01.2022 We've just noticed a small glitch in the junior/adaptive loop map previously uploaded. Good news is, you don't have to do the extra bit of track!! Junior loopers riding for the 4 hours, will follow the blue track shown on the map. Please go to the track section of the web page to find updated map. There will be a marshal to direct the juniors to the appropriate section of track. https://www.12hoursinthepiney.com.au/
