23.01.2022 PASS UNE will be running sessions throughout T3 (with a break over Christmas/New Years). Students are welcome to come to multiple sessions per week/ whatever suits their own study schedule. It’s a great way for our students to feel less isolated and more connected with UNE/other students. What do I need for a PASS session? - A computer/device - to access the zoom sessions - pen & paper to write any notes & tips... - relevant unit resources e.g. textbook It’s ok if you don’t have this handy, you can still join in! How to learn more about T3 PASS: - Within the T3 PASS Subjects - e.g. forum posts, leaders will introduce themselves, Unit Coordinators will mention it - PASS Instagram - passune1 - PASS UNE- Facebook - PASS Moodle site - students in PASS subjects have access to this. They can access session times & zoom links here. - [email protected] Why students should attend PASS: - Weekly study sessions via Zoom (via pass@une moodle) - Helps our students feel less isolated - Contact with other students and UNE - They’re led by students who have studied this subject previously - Even if they’re up to date with their studies, they may be able to help other students (particularly in these tough times) - If they’re struggling with study or assignments or content - it’s a relaxed session

17.01.2022 Free Fruit Friday! We have been running a twice-weekly Food Pantry full of staples and frozen meals during the COVID 19 shutdown. Recently we noticed a need ...to supply students with a regular supply of fresh fruit and vegetables. THE DETAILS: Fruit bags will be placed in each after lunch (12 pm) and students can help themselves. For - , Fruit bags will be placed on the table outside of the Advocacy and Welfare office after 1 pm. This will occur every second Friday for the rest of Term 2. . 12.01.2022 The next IT maintenance is scheduled for Saturday, 15th August between 6am and 6pm. As a result, some IT services will experience periods of disruption. Staff and students working or studying physically on campus should expect intermittent outages as systems are restarted following maintenance updates. Network connections (including the wireless network) as well as internet access will be unavailable in different locations across campus during the day. For off-campus students: Moodle and student email should NOT be affected.

03.01.2022 Essential Energy will be commissioning the UNE Solar Farm 31 August 2020 4 September 2020 (weather permitting). As a result, a series of 30 minute intermittent power outages will occur between 12pm and 2pm on a number of these days which will affect the Armidale Academic and Residential Campuses. PLEASE NOTE there will be a series of 30 minute intermittent power outages today Monday, 31st August 2020 between 12pm and 2pm that will affect all of the Armidale Academic Camp...us, Residential Campus and SportUNE. What you need to do if you are on campus during these power outages: If possible, please ensure all computers and electronic devices connected to mains power are turned off prior to the power outage. Please do not turn off lights, heaters etc. as it is important that the University maintains as much of its standard electrical power load as possible. We recommend you do not schedule any online meetings or teaching during this time, or make alternative arrangements. Be mindful that wireless internet connection will be affected.
