21.01.2022 #UNELaw and #UNESydney were thrilled with the success of the first Law Careers Connect event. The many attendees were highly engaged throughout the evening and had the opportunity to ask questions directly to the presenters. We were particularly excited to welcome back six alumni who gave up their time to talk to law students. To find out more about our presenters’ tips and tricks check out Julia Day’s blog post.

15.01.2022 What a fantastic group of #UNELaw alumni speakers at tonight’s Careers Connect event.

13.01.2022 In November 2019, Head of #UNELaw Professor Michael Adams visited Fu Jen University Taipei, Taiwan ROC. While at Fu Jen, Professor Adams gave a lecture to faculty and students on Australian Corporate Law and ethics and signed an MOU with the Fu Ren University, to further explore cooperation and faculty engagement. As part of these efforts, Associate Professor Guy Charlton will be engaged in a Webinar lecture entitled Cultural Rights, Indigenous Peoples and the Protection of Traditional Knowledge in Intellectual Property Law on November 13, 2020 with a group of Taiwanese’s Indigenous law students. It is anticipated that this will be the first in a series of collaborative seminars involving both schools.

11.01.2022 Congratulations #UNELaw alumna Angela Doolan! It is fantastic to see Angela using her law degree to make a real difference to other industries.

04.01.2022 Congratulations to #UNELaw's Dr Patrick Graham on the publication of his latest book chapter 'Constitutionalism for Divided Societies.' This chapter was featured in the Springer publication ‘Constitutionalism Under Extreme Conditions.’ Patrick’s chapter sets out an overview of constitutional arrangements in several European multinational states. Patrick notes ‘the emphasis is on legal responses to acute constitutional stress in those jurisdictions, and how constitutional med...dling can have unforeseen - and invariably quite negative - consequences. The book collection arises from a wonderful two-day symposium that I attended in Haifa, Israel in late 2016, during which panellists from all over the world spoke about the constitutional implications of health emergencies (quite prescient!), financial crises, secessionism, and civil disorder. I'm delighted to see this work now published in this wonderful collection.’ Congratulations again Patrick!

02.01.2022 Make sure you check out #UNELaw's new blog post which discusses some of the legal issues relating to a Covid 19 vaccine.
