The trust she set up through her will is supporting over 50 rural/regional medical students per year - now our largest scholarship program. It also funds the Rural Healthcare Solutions Program, with its training pathways for University of New England, AU medical graduates to stay and work in regional areas. Betty was so passionate about caring for others that she even named herself "honorary nurse" to other residents in her nursing home.
