24.01.2022 The UCA holds a National Biennial Conference as well as an Annual mini-Conference on alternative years and gratefully acknowledges the important contribution of our sponsors, particularly in supporting our major conference which significantly contributes to the professional development and personal interaction of members. In 2016 we were pleased to continue the relationship with our Major sponsor BigAir. We also appreciated the major contribution of our Conference hosts, Uni...versity House and Australian National University and the generous support of Burgmann College and Chartwells who provided our delegates with a superb dinner in the newly built Burgmann College dining hall. As always, we value the ongoing contribution of our three General sponsors Cater Care, Hotel Space and StarRez. Finally, we thank our Product sponsors for their contribution; ABC Bedding, Paper Monkey and Tanda. http://universitycollegesaustralia.edu.au//sponsors-partn/ See more

23.01.2022 Chapter Visits are a key part of the UCA’s strategy. They provide a valuable opportunity to support members and foster close relations between university colleges. The visits go a long way to assisting the development of academic and social programs for university students and enriching the collegiate experience. http://universitycollegesaustralia.edu.au/s/chapter-visits/
18.01.2022 Residential colleges have a long and rich history; many being established in the mid-1900s, mostly through the generous donations of private individuals. Initially, the Head of Colleges met irregularly, until the Association was formalised through a Constitution in 1965. The Association was first known, as AHAUCHI or Association of Heads of Australian University Colleges and Halls Incorporated, until it rebranded as, University Colleges Australia Incorporated or UCA in November 2010. http://universitycollegesaustralia.edu.au/about-us/history/

14.01.2022 Save the Date The biennial UCA Forum will be held in Brisbane 28/29 September and will largely have a focus on the Respect. Now. Always. Campaign; Mental Health; Alcohol Harm Minimisation; our Mentor Program and supporting Heads and Deputies. Lock it in your diaries - it will be a great couple of days and an opportunity to meet with colleagues and share ideas.
12.01.2022 Continuing the process of learning is applicable to leaders, just as it is to the people they seek to lead. Professional Development is an integral part of the values promoted through the UCA. Consequently, the Association works to provide quality courses such as those offered through the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) to further assist Heads of Colleges and Halls to become better leaders of their collegiate communities. http://universitycollegesaustralia.edu.au//professional-d/
