23.01.2022 Tucker What a SUPERSTAR hes becoming!! Tucker has just about been with us 6 weeks now and heads home in the coming days. We are actually SO proud of how far this horse has come. Tucker is an off the tracker who came to us after a solid 12 months spelling and letting down from racing to be re-educated. 6 weeks later and this is his first time ever jumping! Pretty impressive if you ask me...! ... Tuckers retraining hasnt been all smooth sailing however and we did meet a few speed humps along the way that challenged us and made us think outside the box. But with persistence and patience... LOTS of patience... we are super stoked with Tucker and how far hes come during his time with us. 22.01.2022 Alfie gorgeous chunky monkey Alfie came to us to be brought back into work. During his first few groundwork and a ridden session we noticed some he seemed a bit stiff. From an unhandled, wild little filly, to unexpectedly dropping a foal just over 12 months ago, to this..... An amazing little kids pony, kicking goals and teaching her 9yo owner, Harri, the joys of horses and horsemanship. It brings tears to my eyes and fills my heart. 11.01.2022 Prim Pony I’m so proud of this young lady! Excuse the sketchy camera skills! But I’m so proud of this pony. Prim has recently come back into work after having a foal early in the year. We broke her in (unknowingly) whilst in foal so she was green broke until foaling. This was the first time she’s ever had all these colourful coats and flags hanging off her and literally video taken as soon as they were tied on and put out on the circle. She didn’t bat an eye lid!!! Such a proud moment!!! 07.01.2022 Where do I even start!!! I’m so unbelievably happy I found Unicorn equine solutions. It’s can be a hard decision sending your loved 4 legged friend off for tra...ining but Mandy was so professional and made myself and my partner feel at ease and comfortable right from the beginning which gave us confidence that choosing unicorn equine was the right choice. My partner and I own a 17.2hh very green 8yo Warmblood that class classed as green and somewhat dangerous and unpredictable under saddle and was recommended he be rebroken so we sent him off to Mandy and she worked a complete miracle on Dexter. All of our expectations where meet and exceeded and we couldn’t be happier with the work that has been done with Dexter. He was very anxious and unbalanced under saddle and struggled to get the right canter leads ect.... and I have not had any of those problems since he’s come home in fact I go as far to say he is extremely quite now and it’s all thanks to Mandy. I never thought Dexter would be this quite and safe this soon especially after only 7 weeks on training but even my beginner partner can safely ride him now. If you are wondering if you should send your horse to unicorn equine the answer is YES You definitely won’t regret it and I will continue to use Mandy and recommend her services she is also extremely compassionate and genuinely cares about it the horses she works with. Mandy will still message and ask how Dexter is and like and comment on posts of his progress so you don’t just feel like another pay check because she actually cares which is so lovely and so hard to find these days. Thank you unicorn equine for absolutely everything

07.01.2022 Introducing DEXTER This big guy certainly is one spunky monkey!! Dex is a 17.2hh, 8yo Warmblood with us to build his confidence and expose him to life outside the paddock under saddle. Dex was broken in a few years ago, however hasn’t really had any long term consistent work since. Being so big, Dex has learnt that his size can be pretty intimidating and at times uses this to his advantage to get his own way. Once we started working with her we really learnt how reactive and genuinely afraid of life this girl really was. So where to from here? Back to our foundation. Were establishing leadership as always, but also, going back to the building blocks and essentially re-starting this pretty lady. 02.01.2022 Yesterday marked the first day of Spring and what a glorious Spring day it was! It was also an unexpectedly emotional arvo for me personally. Earlier this year I lost Papa, my grandfather, at the ripe old age of 95. Grandma and Papa are at peace together now though, which in a way, gives those of us left behind peace of mind. But even though they are not here with us in body anymore both Grandmas & Papas spirits and memories live on forever. Yesterday was a timely reminde...r of this. After groundworking my little pony, Prim, for the last week or so, after almost a 12 month spell & having a foal during that time, I decided yesterday Id go for a quick ride on her. Saddling her up I realised I was in fact putting on a saddle that was the first ever saddle I rode in, way back when, I got told I wasnt allowed to ride in a stock saddle at pony club. Lol...Other types of saddle exist!?! I remember thinking at the time Not only was it my first ever all purpose pony club saddle, it was also Grandmas saddle. I can so clearly remember Grandma walking me out to her tack room and brushing the cobwebs off the saddle cover. Showinf me the immaculate saddle underneath the cloth cover. I can remember her saying I could take it and ride in it. I can remember riding my first horse, Carina, bred by Grandma and Papa, to pony club for my second every rally, feeling like I was THAT posh. I can also remember falling off Carina for the first time ever in that same saddle Grandma loved Spring. She loved foals and Papa loved telling stories about how much Grandma loved Spring and foals. And I love that on the 1st day of Spring, just by coincidence, I went for a ride in Grandmas saddle and all the memories that came flooding back. So I guess what Im trying to say is, in these challenging times for every one of us, dont lose hope! Having spent his entire 5 years in a paddock with his Mum, the young lad has, surprisingly, slotted into the herd like a duck to water!
