25.01.2022 Pre-preseason runs will be happening every wedneday from tomorrow night down at Strand Park starting at 5:30pm. Pending numbers we will have a little game of something afterwards. All are welcome :)

24.01.2022 Get down to Hermit Park’s footy ground tomorrow at 1pm to cheer our Hawkettes on as they go up against the Curra Swans in an elimination final. It would be great to see lots of hawk supporters down there supporting the girls as they try to secure a spot in next weeks Grandfinal!!! We are so proud of the season that the girls have had and have no doubt that they can get the job done tomorrow. ... Go Hawkettes!!!

24.01.2022 This weekend the Hawks will run out onto the field at Riverway Stadium, playing our one and only night game of the year which should be exciting. There will be a great game at 2:30pm with our high flying Hawkettes taking further steps to becoming a formidable team in the run down to the end of the season. This weekend has significant importance in being recognised by AFL nationally as the Sir Doug Nicholls or otherwise known as Indigenous round where pay our respects and ackn...owledge the contributions that Indigenous Australians past, present and emerging have made to not only our great game of AFL but in society. The University Hawks are doing our part by proudly donning our Indigenous jumper, designed by Shalom Christian College students and we can only hope to do it more justice on the field as we take on the might of the Thuringowa Bulldogs. Unfortunately only our Senior mens side will be running out in the special jumper, but nonetheless Hawkies supporters should come down earlier to watch the Hawkies in action all day - kicking off with Juniors with Squid and Dogga at 8:00am, Ladies at 2:30pm, culminating with the Seniors at 6:00pm. 15.01.2022 Hope everyone is having an awesome festive season! Just a little update on trainings for the senior men and women. Training will start back on Thursday the 7th of January, 5:30pm at the strand park, the strand.... From there we will be back to every Tuesday and Thursday :)

15.01.2022 HOME GAME THIS SATURDAY 8TH AUGUST @ THE GREEN Calling for Volunteers for the day. We require a couple Volunteers for Friday Night set up of the change rooms inside the building (just awaiting confirmation from the Suns on a time) Please let us know what time you can help and we will pop you down for a job. It's going to be a big day at a grounds that we haven't had to use before but with as many Volunteers as we can get the day will run smoothly. Please remember we are under STRICT Covid19 guideline that we must follow and we will let all Volunteers know what's required before the day.

09.01.2022 Big Round 3 for both our senior teams with one win and one loss. The Hawkettes played the Bulldogs on Wednesday night in a very scrappy game, but were still able to come away with the win (16-0). Best on were: 1. Abigail Glasser 2. Emma Hannigan 3. Patricia Unfortunately the senior men lost their game against the Tigers but there are always plenty of positives to take away and the team continue to build every week. Best on were: 1. 07.01.2022 It was a BIG week for the Hawkettes last week, playing two games with a very short turn around between them. They came away with the win in their Wednesday game against the suns, with a final score of 58-0. The best ons were: 1. Lauren R-B... 2. Emily Drakeford 3. Courtney Tyshing 4. Emma Ferguson 5. Alyssa Whiley They followed up with another big win on Saturday against the Garbutt Magpies winning a whopping 117-2. The best ons were: 1. Alyssa Whiley 2. Ebony Rix 3. Alice White 4. Emma Hannigan 5. Chloe Musgrove This leaves them currently sitting in third place on the ladder heading into the second half of the season! Round 7 begins tomorrow with the Hawkettes playing at Riverway at 2:30pm followed by the senior men afterwards. See you all there
