10.01.2022 ARES is looking for an Engineering Officer to join our 2020/2021 committee! Applicants must be current University of Melbourne students. The role primarily entails planning and then delivering engineering workshops to our members during semester, upskilling them whilst also providing a fun environment. Previous workshop series topics have included: CAD workshops. LaTeX workshops.... Printed Circuit Board (PCB): ‘Build your own flight computer’ workshops. Drone building workshops. Applicants should be passionate and ideally have an idea of what type of workshop series they would like to run. Event details here: https://www.facebook.com/events/860045951468976/ Introducing one of the presenters, Jake Bradbury: "I studied a Bachelors of Engineering (Hons) - Mechanical Engineering and Bachelor of Science - Physics at UNSW. I started the graduate program at AAP (Airbus Australia Pacific) in 2019 and did rotations through In-Service Structures, Aircraft Structural Integrity and System Safety. I have just transitioned to a full time role with In-Service Structures working on the MRH90 and ARH Tiger. I'll be discussing some of my experiences within the graduate program and will be around to answer any questions you may have!"
