22.01.2022 2018 is here and CCS is back! After a wonderful summer, CCS is back for a brand new semester! Our o-week stall kickstarted the year and it was a complete success! Our favourite cat made another cameo appearance and just captured hearts of every girl on campus. And how could we forget selfies and our big group photo with our exclusive CCS swag ~ Right after our successful recruitment there was a BBQ to absolutely drool over (is anyone else just hungry looking at the photos...?) Special shoutout to Domi and his amazing crew who marinated the meats the entire night before~ Thank you to our (professional) BBQers and everyone who braved the rain to come and help out, we really appreciate you all~~ We have also had our semi-annual WELCOME SESSION Each of the committee departments debriefed everyone on their department and what they do normally AND most importantly they reported the chances to escaping the single life (because what else is more important) ~~ This is our lineup: - the most creative department: EVENTS - the richest and toughest department: SPONSOR - the most mysterious department: SDU - the most talented department: MARKETING - the most responsible department: SECRETARY DEPARTMENT - the most artsy department: MEDIA Whats all this talk when we should be talking about the food - there was milk tea, cupcakes, and little dumplings (and officially hungry) - special praise for our hardworking who cooked the dumplings for everyone, we appreciate those who make food for us... And what is CCS without RUNNING MAN What started off as an innocent game was instantly destroyed with the water battle - but still everyone got to burn their calories while making new friends, I call this killing two birds with one stone And here a special mention to our wonderful NPCs If you havent joined CCS yet its not too late - come down to the CCS Table every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at Union House - Come sign up and get our awesome new black membership cards, see the beautiful faces of our committee, come find a friend to eat lunch with, come play games and from now on all event signups with be at the CCS UNION HOUSE TABLE Hope to see you there!

22.01.2022 Good job guys!!!!!

19.01.2022 CCS KING OF GLORY THEMED RUNNING MAN RECAP Our intense King of Glory Running Man has successfully finished! (like three weeks ago....) Even though it was a little cold but everyones excitement and passionately participating in the fun and games certainly made it feel less wintery. Lets recap what we did last weekend:... Delivery of the team leaders Anyone need a team leader package delivered? (Also, moment of silence for our Sponsor Leader who was dropped to bruises in his miserable fall) Pictionary After this round, its certainly clear CCS is filled with future Van Goghs and DaVincis (NOT) If anyone can understand what was drawn, please inbox us because we would really like to know Nothing much can be said about the game multi-hands, multi-feet, except that we should be thinking to make our games PG-13 And because the theme was King of Glory of course the day couldnt end without actually playing the game! But the handsomest boy of CCS TIMO FANG!! As soon as he arrived he had all the girls attention in his direction. Isnt he such an adorable little ball of fluff? The fastest team to finish was the team The Flash (living up to their team name indeed) the magical team who somehow won with their team members basically carrying their team leader throughout the entire game. Overall, a huge thank you for everyones participation. Thank you for all the team leader and NPCs hard-work as well as the monsters for their blood, sweat and tears. Im not saying it mightve been the most fun Running Man weve had but Im saying it was the MOST FUN. Hopefully everyone liked our Running Man this semester, and we hope everyone made lots of new friends. CCS would like to thank all the people who continue to participate in our events, thank you for your support! We are the most loving Chinese Culture Society!

13.01.2022 REPOSTMy name is Beixi and I am a research assistant at the Asia Institute (Asia Center) at the University of Melbourne. We are currently doing a research inquiry on the working conditions and rights of overseas domestic care workers in Australia. Domestic care workers are people who do work "performed in or for a household or households". This includes tasks such as cooking, cleaning, child care, or cooking, on a paid employment agreement. Domestic care workers in Australi...a are often underpaid, and are not treated with the rights they are entitled to. We are doing research in this field in the hopes of improving working conditions for overseas students and migrants alike, who are working in this field, so their rights can be respected and upheld. If there is anyone doing work as a domestic career, and if they could be put in touch with me. We would like to know and speak to them, it would help us a lot with our work. I would also be happy to come in and speak to them. Please contact me at any time on this email: [email protected] Thank you very much.

Always make sure to warm up and stretch before you run stretch out those long legs! During the run (there was 2km, 6km and 8km), we couldnt even get any good photos of everyone because run like the wind indeed!
