24.01.2022 Hi everyone! So as you all have probably heard by now the PM has announced that all in indoor sporting is to close as of 12pm today. This unfortunately means the studio will be closed for the foreseeable future. This news is quite sad and will affect so many of us BUT we will be BACK! We are going to throw a big welcome back party for everyone as soon as we can operate again! To all my students, dont let this stop you dancing! Keep up your technique and dance around your ...kitchen, in your bedroom, with your parents and keep your love for dance going! I will be posting some dance challenges for everyone to do to have some fun at home, as well as the possibility of some online work! So keep following the page for the news. To everyone who has already shown their support for the studio, I cant thank you enough! There was definitely some tears last night reading through your messages! 19.01.2022 Hey everyone, What a crazy week this has been! Hope we are all doing well. I’m still waiting for the offical directive of what this will mean for the concert and classes for the remainder of the year. It looks like the original restrictions put in place on Monday is what we are going back to, which means we will remain online as we have been this week. If this changes I will let you know. As to the concert for now ticket sales are on hold. If the 1 per 4 sqm rule stays, co...ncert will be postponed to January/early feb before starting the new studio year, as this will mean I can only sell 80 tickets which doesn’t even cover the cost of the theatre hire. Thanks to everyone that’s managed to get online and work through this and for those that haven’t, don’t stress I know this is a hard time and not convenient for everyone. 19.01.2022 PLEASE READ ALL NEW CLASS TIMES, CANCELLED CLASSES AND MAKEUP LESSONS. *NEW TIMETABLE STARTS FROM TOMORROW 4/7 *BEGINNERS CLASS CANCELLED TOMORROW 4/7 Hi everyone, so as some of you may know Ive been quite sick this week, this morning my result have come back negative for Covid, but I have a combination of the flu and tonsillitis (Lucky me ). Ill send out times for make up lessons in the holidays. ... As I dont want to get other people sick I wont be at the studio. Saturday beginners classes unfortunately will be cancelled but all other Saturday classes will go ahead with Miss Emma, Miss Chelsea, Miss Georgia and Miss Emily. We can now have up to 36 in the studio and can go back to contact training! Please read the timetable as class times have changed. This Saturday will be the last days of term 2, we will then have 2 weeks break. We will be doing some workshops in the school holidays for enrolled students which I will post soon. 18.01.2022 I KNOW THIS MESSAGE IS LONG BUT PLEASE READ ALL OF IT AS IT IS IMPORTANT INFORMATION. Hi everyone I hope youre enjoying the weekend because as soon as its over UDS is back! Tuesday 9.6.2020 we are finally reopening, the wait is over and I cant wait to see you all again and get back into doing what we love! ... With the new restrictions we are only allowed 10 in a class (not including teachers) and 6 in the waiting area. Most classes are just at the 10 mark or under, but unfortunately we have had to separate some classes into a group A and a group B. These classes will be split alphabetically by the students first name to keep it as fair as possible. With 18 students doing private lessons (some of the students with more than 1 lesson) I have found it impossible to fit everyones back in, I have stared at the timetable for hours and hours and changed it many times but couldnt fit you all in. So Im sorry to say privates wont be going ahead for the remainder of term 2 as I dont think its fair to allow some privates to go head while others miss out. I hope you understand and it wont be for long! With the new restrictions we also wont be accepting any new students for the remainder of term 2 so that we can keep our classes under the 10 maximum. In the email is the new timetable, medical forms and Covid waivers (Ive been informed by the ORSR that this is something that needs to be in place) and a handbook with general information about the studio and rules we now need to follow so we can remain open. I know this is a lot to take in but PLEASE read all of it. The government has already started doing inspections of businesses that can now reopen, I have sent my CovidSafe plan off to the government and I can get a $5000 if I dont enforce these measures. The waivers need to be signed and either sent back or returned in person before you can come back to the studio. If you cannot get access to a computer please let me know ASAP so we can work out a way to get it to you. An email has just been sent out. I would love for you to video your little one and ask them What do you do at ballet/dancing? OR... What do you love about dancing and also get them to show you OR if you know they have a favourite song/action from class etc. video them doing the movements. 15.01.2022 Hi everyone we are going to go online for classes for the next two weeks. Still hopeful to put on a concert some how waiting on a few emails to be returned with some different options. Will let everyone know the details ASAP. In the mean time Zoom classes will run on the same timetable (mon-fri) minus stretch which can be used as a dinner break. Links will be sent out. Saturday timetable to come soon. These online classes are all new to me so please be patient and understanding over the next couple of weeks and I will do the same. We can get through this together and hopefully make it through to end of this crazy year. I will send out concert info once I have got all my options covered. (Thursday at the latest!)

14.01.2022 Okay, Tiny Tot families; Today we arrived early like usual, opened up, cleaned the studio and waited for Group A to arrive.... ....Zero students came to class.... This is hugely disappointing as we put so much effort into providing this class for you all within the restrictions, and then the lack of effort and communication is disheartening. We understand things come up but this where you need to communicate with us. I really hope you to see you all soon, I miss dancing with all the kids and I know the students that have been attending would like some friends to dance with

As these were larger classes alot of effort had been put into splitting the classes and rearranging the timetable so you can all come back.... 12.01.2022 IMPORTANT PLEASE READ ALL UDS MEMBERS AND FAMILY MEMBERS. Unique Dance Studio prioritises the health of our students and teachers, it is for this reason we are taking extra care to ensure that the studio is a safe environment as a result of the current health concerns with Covid-19. I will be thoroughly cleaning and sanitising all surfaces before and after each group. ... We ask you to please use effective hygiene and wash your hands every time you enter and exit the studio. We please ask that if you have travelled recently, if you have a cough/flu like symptoms Or have been in contact with someone who has the virus to please stay away from the studio. If you have been to the studio recently and have since found out you or someone youve been in contact with has the virus please let me know ASAP. We have made the decision to stop our CanDance class on a Saturday (due to numbers in a small area) but will continue working on the number during our broadway classes. We will also be stopping all stunting/lifts/partner work and spotting for acro tricks to eliminate contact and we will reassess at the beginning of term two. For now acro class will go ahead but just working on strength and flexibility not tricks. This Saturday we will still continue with tiny tots and beginners but will start the classes with a chat with the parents just to gage how you are feeling and then go from there. SA sports and recreation have announced we are able to continue so long as we follow these steps. So aside from the classes mentioned above classes will be running as normal. 11.01.2022 Hi everyone! So I have some sad news, as many of you may of herd yesterday afternoon they have changed the rules yet AGAIN! Dance studios are now restricted to only 10 in a class! Now I know some of our classes are fine and dont have more than 10, others do go over. Please be patient with me while I try to work out a timetable as I dont think it is fair to let some classes go back to dancing while others miss out. Ill do my best and get back to you ASAP! Im very disappointed by this news and dont understand why they reduced the number. We WILL be back! Thank you all for supporting the studio and hanging in there!

10.01.2022 Morning everyone! I’m having a lot of trouble putting the floor boards together. Big thanks to Clinton who has helped put a lot of it together while I cut the ends. Im unfortunately just way to slow and then get parts that won’t clip in which I can’t move on from until it’s done. If anyone would be able to help today before dancing classes start at 3.30 to get the floor finished you would really be helping me out. Love a very tired and stressed Nicole. Scrunchie prices will be displayed at studio with a mix of options. I will also make up some more bows ... Crochet headbands are $10 or two for $15. 01.01.2022 IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ALL UDS MEMBERS AND FAMILIES re: Saturday classes 21/03/20 Hi everyone as you may have heard, the PM has announced this afternoon that there is to be 1 person to every 4sqm inside a building. This means we can only accommodate 20 people in the studio at one time including teachers, students,parents and siblings. Until we can work out how to work this in with our Saturday classes we unfortunately wont be open tomorrow 21/03/20. As for our Monday to... Friday classes, majority of these classes wont be affected by this but we are asking for parents drop their kids off when and if its possible to do so to keep numbers down. I understand this can be frustrating, but we are just trying to do what is best to keep the studio safe by applying the new rules/changes as quickly as we can.
