23.01.2022 Good morning Melbourne! Some positive news in light of this pandemic for allied health services! NO GP REFERRAL REQUIRED: Updated - Victorian Department of Health & Human Services (DHHS) advice came through at midnight last night. All public and private health services are permitted!!... Thank you to the Australian Chiropractic Association for advocating for this change, since Stage 4 details were announced earlier this week. It is a great result for Victorian Chiropractors. Well done to other Allied health governing bodies for their concerted efforts in helping the DHHS see that all public and private health services are absolutely essential! 11.01.2022 *** STAGE 4 LOCK-DOWN UPDATE*** Good morning Melbourne, As you are all no doubt aware, stage 4 lock-down has been implemented in order to reduce community transmission of COVID-19. ... Uniquely Chiropractic will do its part in the interest of the safety of public health. As a result the way the practice will operate over the next 6 weeks will change and will be In line with the advice given by the Victorian Government and DHHS. A few points to note; a) The practice is open b) A referral is NOT required from your GP for Chiropractic care c) Care is considered essential, and therefore you are able to travel outside your 5km radius for care. d) Your care however must be considered ESSENTIAL. You must therefore be in acute/severe discomfort to receive Chiropractic care The practice will be in contact with all patients during this period and in some cases may actually have to reschedule appointments. Today's announcement has eased restrictions for some but not all and our thoughts and well wishes are with all Victorians. I'm glad to announce that after Premier Daniel Andrew's detailed changes to Victoria's COVID-19 restrictions, all allied health professionals currently operating in metropolitan Melbourne will be able resume face-to-face care. ... 08.01.2022 Hello Melbourne! I trust that everyone is keeping safe and well! So Melbourne moves to stage 4 restrictions to deal with this global pandemic of COVID-19. These are certainly unprecedented times! ... First and foremost a heartfelt shout out to individuals that may have been impacted by this disease from a health perspective and secondly to those impacted from an employment/financial perspective. We are going through hopefully a once in a life time event that together we can overcome. We would like to reassure all of our practice members and the wider community the practice will remain open during this 6 week period and beyond, as we are considered an essential service. We would like to also inform you, that our allied health modalities of Podiatry, Cupping, Myotherapy and Rolfing will also be available, and all our therapists will be more than happy to serve the community.
