15.01.2022 Questions for all #leaders and #managers out there: Yesterday I was working with a leader of a division within a polytechnic institute and he said he rarely gets acknowledged by his managers. I felt his sadness around the hard work he'd been doing for over 20years - with little thanks. When was the last time: - You asked people if THEY felt they were acknowledged for the work they do? ... - You acknowledged EACH of your workers (or knew it had occurred)? - You asked people HOW OFTEN they would like to be acknowledged? - You asked people WHAT they would like to be acknowledged for? - You asked people HOW they would like to be acknowledged for their hard work? 12.01.2022 WANTED: Old laptop for a guy who has been homeless and lives on the streets. He wants to learn how to use a computer and get his life back on track. I said I’d like to be able to get him one. I’ve known him for a couple of years now and he’s an honest, non drug taking guy that is open to listening and learning. He was a tradie but had an accident that caused him not to be able to work again. Do you know anyone that’s looking to get a new computer and would like their old computer go to someone who would really appreciate it? (Sydney region preferable - I can come pick up)
