22.01.2022 Today I am road tripping to Bingara NSW to deliver #Leadership and #DiSC #Training. Coffee - Inspiring audio book- Love for my work - See you soon Bingara!

15.01.2022 Yesterday I was asked if DiSC is still relevant, with teams working from home. Great question! Yes! In fact, probably moreso. Want to know why Johnny's email was so rude and to the point? He is a D personality ... In person we are also relying on body language and tonality to understand our colleagues and build rapport. Working from home can see us communicating without these mediums, making it even more difficult to get a read on someone. If you know someone's profile, you are better equipped to understand WHY they are doing what they are doing. www.uniqueteamtraining.com.au

13.01.2022 Five things the "difficult person" in the class is there to teach a Trainer. A couple of years ago I trained a session that was particularly difficult. While there will normally be one or two people in the class that can be "difficult" this whole class was difficult; no-one wanted to be there. By the third day of training, I cried after class . Then I reflected on what I can learn from this. Here are my top learnings. They are being difficult because they don't see the... value in the training. They may be "forced" to be there. This taught me that although they may not have signed up for the initial training, they can still find value, if you find a way to connect with them, and show them something they may not already know. They are being difficult because they don't understand. Sometimes it's easier for people to act out, rather than admit that they aren't getting it. This taught me to check in often with people and make sure that I catered to lots of different learning styles. It's too easy. If they already know what they are learning, they are less likely to engage. As a Trainer we can add in interesting things that they may not already know. They don't feel included. When people don't feel included they tend the disengage. As a Trainer we can and should include everyone in the class through questions and activities. They have stuff going on in their life. It's difficult to concentrate on training when you are having personal problems. It may not be about the training or Trainer at all. From this, I learned not to take things personally.

13.01.2022 I feel privileged to wake up on a Monday morning excited for the work week, because I love what I do. Training is more than just talking to a group. It is leading and inspiring others to learn and implement something that will make their life better When you organise training for your team, remember that good training will meet outcomes but it will also inspire

02.01.2022 I'm away for work, training DiSC, and in a twist of fate no-one saw coming, I have zero mobile phone reception and very limited WiFi. At first I freaked and used a payphone to let my loved ones know I'm safe. But then I wondered if, in fact, the universe just wants me to slow down for a bit. The last few weeks I have been going at a million miles an hour. So I am slowing down - I have no other choice. This morning instead of waking up and getting straight on my phone, I went for a walk and connected with my surroundings. I'm grateful for the peace and quiet, and especially grateful I connected to WiFi long enough to post this and share my pic For anyone that has reached out to me - especially by phone or text, I will get back to you tomorrow
