17.01.2022 Last month, Tropical Cyclone Gita hit Tonga; the strongest cyclone to hit the main islands of Tonga and the South Pacific in the past 60 years. The storm was devastating, and the Tonga Leitis' Association was hit hard. This association helps vulnerable gender and sexual minorities in Tonga. Cyclone Gita brought down electricity lines, smashed homes and churches, and leveled fruit trees and crops vital to the nations livelihood. While aid agencies have started to respond, suc...h crises render vulnerable gender and sexual minorities invisible and neglected in their time of greatest need. The Queer Amnesty International Adelaide Action Group and Planet Ally is raising money and awareness for the group. Note donation entry. Awesome short documentary and discussion following it. If you can't attend and want to donate, please click on this link: https://www.youcaring.com/tongaleitisassociation-1100654 See you there!
