22.01.2022 Congratulations to University of South Australia Mount Gambier Campus' Education lecturer Chelsea Cutting! Chelsea has received international recognition as a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in the UK. This award recognises excellence in higher education teaching. The prestigious award caps a great year for Chelsea who earlier in the year won the RMIT 3 Minute Thesis competition as well as taking out the People’s Choice Award in the same competition. We are so very lucky to have outstanding lecturers such as Chelsea teaching university students in the Limestone Coast. #fellowship #kickinggoals University of South Australia #mountgambierrepresent #studyneargofar #unstoppable The SE Voice Border Watch Mount Gambier ABC South East SA

20.01.2022 Congratulations to our first-year nursing students on how well they have progressed during their challenging first year of study towards becoming Registered Nurses. 18.01.2022 Today University of South Australia Mount Gambier Campus students, staff and members of the USASA Arts & Crafts Group said NO! to domestic violence. Members decorated the t-shirt as a part of 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence, organised locally by the Limestone Coast Family Violence Action Group. From the 25th of November to 10th December, you can see it displayed with other contributions at the Mount Gambier Library. To learn more about the 16 Days of Activism in Mount Gambier like the Limestone Coast Family Violence Action Group on Facebook.

11.01.2022 A BIG thank you from us all at UniSA Mount Gambier to all the teachers in our region for your wonderful contributions to our young people and our communities. 08.01.2022 UniSA Mount Gambier hosted the Regional Showcase of STEM Innovation Experience this week and what a terrific day it was. There were only 10 schools in the state that qualified to the regional showcase level and three of them were from our region. The winner was Mount Gambier High School, runner up was Grant High School and then Allendale East Area School. ... All schools were very competitive at the event and the quality of the work produced was exceptional. Mount Gambier High and Grant High have both qualified for the State Final on 05 November in Adelaide. Good luck to both schools for the State Final!

06.01.2022 In keeping with the decision of the South Australian Government to enter a circuit breaker lockdown for the next six days all University of South Australia Campuses will be closed until at least 25 November. What does this mean for us at Mount Gambier Campus? Our Campus will be closed from 9.30 pm this evening (Wednesday 18 November). At present we are scheduled to re-open on Wednesday 25 November at 8.30 am.... There will be no one on the Campus during this time, and students (and staff), will not be able to enter the building. We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause, but the health and safety of us all is paramount. Please stay safe and well. Ian McKay UniSA Regional Manager: Mount Gambier

05.01.2022 Today we farewelled our latest cohort of professionals, as our 3rd year Nurses celebrated their last day on campus with a lunch themed around the 2020 as International Year of the Nurse and Midwife. We are so very proud of you all and are excited that many of you have secured your graduate year at regional hospitals, a true illustration of how studying regionally keeps skills within the regions. We know that all of our completing students will make the most dedicated, caring nurses and look forward to following your respective journeys. We wish each and every one of you all the very best for your future careers! #iyotnam #nurses #nursing #classof2020 University of South Australia

04.01.2022 Some of our education students together with Lecturers, Deb Hosking and Kath Salmon got into the spirit of World Teachers' Day. World Teachers’ Day is held internationally in early October. As it falls during the school holidays for many parts of Australia, we celebrate a little later (October 30). World Teachers’ Day is a day to celebrate and be proud of our teachers. This year’s theme is a bright future. UniSA Mt Gambier staff took the opportunity to thank some of their p...re-service teachers with a goody bag to celebrate their achievements this year. #teachersday #thankteachers #brightfuture @aitsl
