This variety was first discovered in Abyssinia, Ethiopia in 1931. Gesha was planted in Panama for the first time in 1963 and Colombia in 2005. Finca La Estrella is located in Pijao, Quindio only 20km away from Armenia which is part of the coffee triangle.... Exceptional coffee. #colombia #gesha #coffee #specialtycoffee #90points

12.01.2022 We are currently featuring this impressive Colombian coffee as ESPRESSO ROAST in the web store. This coffee has delicious floral sweetness with lovely bright acidity shining through in the cup. Rosa Alba began learning about coffee production on her family farm from the age of 15. This knowledge and experience was invaluable when she acquired a farm along with her husband. She is always looking to improve her post-harvest processes. For this reason she wanted to try honey-processing and naturals, as she enjoys the challenge this brings. Her attention to detail and passion for quality is obvious in the incredible lots she produces year in year out.

02.01.2022 We are so excited to feature this seriously fruity coffee as our current FILTER OFFERING available on our website. The Kirasa mill is one of 13 mills that form the Akawa project which was created to help producers escape the cycle of poverty in a sustainable and equitable way. The location of Kirasa is breathtaking, surrounded by high climbing hills and right next to the Kirasa River. Many of the farmers in the region intercrop their plots with banana trees, creating not only... shade for coffee trees but also a much needed food source for their family. Mill manager Emile Ndikumasabo, alongside agronomist Anne-Marie have been producing natural fertilizer from discarded coffee pulp. The pulp is placed in a shallow pit in the ground where its covered up with soil and allowed to naturally ferment. The end result is used to fertilize the coffee seedlings in their nursery. Once the seedlings grow they are then handed out to farmers to renovate their coffee gardens. Traditionally coffee produced at Kirasa was only washed, but this year Emile and his team implemented natural process. Special care is taken with sorting and drying to produce a clean and extraordinarily sweet cup.

02.01.2022 Profiles are on point this morning!

02.01.2022 Roast day tomorrow!! We’ll be loading up the roaster with some excellent coffees so get your online orders in today for delivery early next week.
