23.01.2022 Match review United Friends Club (UFC) Vs Bhadrakali Lions (BKL) UFC won the toss and elected to bat with Kabindra Shakya (Kabs Shakya) and Santosh Dhakal (Sant...os Dhakal) to open. Milan Shrestha and Agrim Bhattarai opened the bowling spell for BKL. UFC made 17 in 3 overs for no loss. Dipesh Rajbanshi replaced Agrim in 4th over that went for 6 runs to take UFC to 23 for 0. BKL did another bowling change by bringing Bishnu Kumar Katuwal into the attack when Kabindra was on strike and this is how the 5th over went: 1st ball Dot, 2nd ball Six, 3rd ball Four, 4th ball Four, 5th ball Four, last ball Four. From 23 runs in 4 overs, UFC were now 45 runs in 5 due to Kabin’s outstanding knock! Dipesh managed a consolation damage control for BKL by taking the wicket of Santosh (7 from 11) caught by Agrim despite giving away 11 runs to have UFC 56 for 1 in 6 overs. Sashen Jung Karki joined Kabin while BKL immediately brought back Agrim Bhattarai to bowl and the bowler provided another vital breakthrough by getting Kabin (41 from 25) caught by Pradøsh Pøüdyal. UFC were now 61 for 2 in 7 overs. Saroz Ale and Sashen took the score to 69 in the next over and Agrim came back to bowl the 9th. Sashen’s perfectly timed cover-drive in the 2nd ball came from the middle of his bat however a sharp catch in the Cover region by Abhishesh Poudel abruptly ended his inning of 8 runs from 9 balls. Agrim also dismissed Saroz (7 from 6) caught by Pradosh in the same over to restrict UFC to 71 for 4 in 9 overs. Two relatively new batsmen Sudip Regmi and Birat Shrestha (Shrestha Birat) batted slowly but sensibly to take the score to 97 in 14.5 overs however Pradosh dismissed Sudip (8 from 20) caught by Ashish Poudel in the last ball and UFC were 97 for 5 in 15 overs. Ashish Poudel Bowled Birat out in the 16th over that ended Birat’s valiant effort of 21 runs from 23 balls. UFC were 105 for 6 in 16 overs. Ashish and Pradosh bowled beautifully then onwards to have UFC all out making 121 runs in 19.2 overs. Agrim and Pradosh took 3 wickets each, Ashish took 2 and Dipesh took 1 wicket. Agrim Bhattarai and Milan Shrestha opened for BKL. Milan made his intentions clear and helped BKL score 40 runs in 4 overs. Pramodh Poudel started the 5th over with a maiden and next couple of tight overs from UFC brought BKL’s first 50 runs of the match in 7 overs. With occasional boundaries and singles, BKL made 88 runs in 12 overs without losing a wicket. By then, Milan had already raised his bat towards the pavilion acknowledging his half century. Agrim scored the majority of the 24 runs that came in the 13th over to take the score to 112. With 2 more boundaries from either batsman, BKL scored the targeted 122 runs in 13.4 overs without losing any wicket. Both opening batsmen carried their bat with 122 Not Out partnership for which Milan contributed with 58 runs from 36 balls and Agrim contributed with 48 runs from 43 balls. Pramodh Poudel was the stand out bowler for UFC by giving only 4 runs from his 2 overs. Agrim Bhattarai was awarded the Man of the Match for his all-round performance.

15.01.2022 Crucial game this afternoon against Baba Cricket Team #virtualsemis #way2goLads #BPL

10.01.2022 Match review GnR Rocks Cricket Club (GNR) Vs United Friends Club (UFC) Welcome to match review of game 8 of Globancy BPL T20 - a game that received biggest hype... of this season so far. Both teams have their star players missing for this match. UFC loses Sagun Kayastha (Nugass Kayastha) due finger injury and GNR misses Binod Lama (Binod Bamjan) who has just been blessed with a baby boy. Both these players were Man of the Match in their last games. We wish Sagun a quick recovery and congratulations to Binod. UFC won the toss and elected to bat and the charge was taken by Kabindra Shakya (Kabs Shakya) and Santos Dhakal. Kabindra started the scoreboard with a Sixer in the 2nd ball of the innings and first over of Ramesh Poudel Gnr went for 12 runs. Batting team’s intentions were clear from the beginning but the bowling team came back with an answer the very next over. Manish Bhurtel gave only 1 run in the next over. Both opening bowlers then continued to ball a very tight line restricting UFC to 31 runs in 6 overs. Captain Ramesh Poudel brought Milan Waiba into the attack replacing himself and was instantly rewarded since Milan bowled out Kabindra at 24 from 26 balls. Milan then removed the other opening batsman Santosh (9 off 17 balls) in his very next over. At the end of 9th over UFC were 53 for 2 and the match looked fairly balanced with two relatively new batsmen Sashen Jung Karki and Sumit Raina at the crease. Sumit was slowly releasing his arms with few Sixes and took the score to 68 in 11 overs when Prasanna Kharel ran Sashen out during his own bowling in 12th over. A wicket each fell on next two overs and score was 88 for 5 wickets in 14 overs. It was obvious that GNR had to remove Sumit, who had already scored 39 runs from 17 balls, to maintain a chase-able target. GNR brought in their most successful bowler of the day Milan Waiba into the attack but Sumit smacked the first ball for Six. Dancing all over the crease, Sumit hit second ball for even bigger Six. The third ball got the same treatment and so did the fourth. 24 runs already from first 4 balls. Sumit slightly mistimed the 5th ball and got caught out brilliantly in the boundary by Manish Bhurtel who in fact dropped Sumit while he was batting at 23 runs. Sumit’s destructive innings of 63 runs from 22 balls ensured that the scoreboard read unthinkable 112 for 6 by the end of 15th over. Although GNR didn’t let UFC capitalise more from this point, it can be said that the damage was already done. Manish took one wicket and Sushil Kalwar removed all 3 remaining wickets to restrict UFC at 128 all out in 18.5 overs. Milan (4 ov, 43 runs, 4 wkts) and Sushil (2.5 ov, 19 runs, 3 wkts) were the stand out bowlers for GNR. The target of 129 in BPL T20 probably is considered both defendable and chaseable score. UFC was given a dream start by their opening bowlers Shishir Shrestha and Sabin Sthapit. Shishir dismissed opening batsman Ramesh Poudel and one-down Ashok Thapa trapped LBW for duck in the very first over whereas Sabin bowled the other opening batsman Roshan Bhandari for duck in the next over. From 3 for 3 in 2 overs, Sushil Kalwar and Manish Bhurtel added further 27 runs to take the score to 30 in the 6th over but Sushil’s innings came to a halt when he was caught in the boundary at 20 runs in 16 balls off Sashen’s bowling. Manish (5 from 15) departed the very next over without adding any further runs and new batsmen Milan Waiba returned to the pavilion without troubling the scorer. Sashen Karki and Sumit Raina continued bowling with great accuracy to remove all remaining batsmen. With only 10 men to bat, GNR were all out for 59 runs in 12.3 overs. Shishir (3 ov, 12 runs, 2 wkts), Sumit (2.3 ov, 9 runs, 2 wkts), and Sashen (4 ov, 20 runs, 4 wkts) were outstanding for UFC. UFC won this match by 69 runs maintaining their unbeaten streak and Sumit Raina was awarded Player of the Match for his outstanding innings with both bat and ball. Despite how the match ended, it proves that only an over or two can change the complete outcome of a T20 match. For me personally, there were two such overs in this match however I will let my readers decide for themselves if they feel the same.
