23.01.2022 Well Relay for Life 2019 has been and gone for another year. I get blown away each year how much our little team raises. This year, weraised an amazing amount of $3414.00. I would like to thank our Family and Friends that support us each and every year. I am extremely grateful to the Business’s that donate to our fundraisers to make them so successful. A huge shoutout to Justin at Eaton Chiropractic who allow us to sell Raffle tickets all year at his clinic. It was an em...otional weekend, as we Remember loved ones who are fighting, Celebrate loved ones that have beaten, and Fight Back for loved ones that lost their battle. To my amazing team members, without your help we would not have been able to achieve what we did with our fundraisers and the amount of laps over the weekend (253 laps in total!) To our friends and family members that came down over the weekend to walk laps with us and for us, thank you To Ben Andrew and the leadership team, you guys do an amazing job every year. The challenge was to beat last years total and once again we smashed that, $180 000 and rising! Over $4 million raised in 17 years. Thank you for making it such an enjoyable event every year! We can’t wait to see you what you all have planned for 2020!! As usual once midnight ticks over on Relay weekend the planning for the next year starts. United as One has already registered for 2020 and we already have 5 members onboard (with half price registrations how can you turn away!!)The brainstorming ideas are flowing and I feel 2020 is going to be the year to be part of it!!! So look out cancer. We know that we will never wipe you out, but with the research happening, every year we are getting wiser to you. One day we will finally know how to live with you. See more

20.01.2022 October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Have you had your Boobies checked? I have. Here’s a little story no one knows about. Earlier this year, I found a lump It was near my left armpit. I noticed it, but thought being summer it was from the heat and I do my self-check and hadn’t noticed any changes in my boobs. ... About a month later, it had disappeared, Yes yes I was that person! I decided to go to the doctors, because where had the lil bugger gone! My Doctor did a thorough check of my boobs and my lymph nodes. She then asked me if I had ever had a mammogram. I laughed and said I’m not that old yet!! She laughed as well and said that from when you turn 40 you can start having mammograms done and from the age of 50 you’re then invited to have them done. To my relief nothing showed up in my scans. But, 1 in 7 women will be diagnosed with Breast Cancer this year. As we are living longer, symptoms are being picked up earlier. With the help of our wonderful researchers, survival rates are on the up. So ladies, that’s my story. I still don’t know what the lump was and if will ever poke it’s head up again, but I’ve popped my mammogram cherry! If you are 40 or over, book in to have a scan and pop that mammogram cherry!! The ladies at BreastScreen WA Bunbury are absolutely amazing!

09.01.2022 We have received notice from Grand Cinema Bunbury that unfortunately Sony have postponed the release of Peter Rabbit until September. So at the moment everything is on hold as we wait to see what movie we can have in place of Peter Rabbit.
