18.01.2022 Congratulations to our genetic lab in Queensland. Recently the AEGRC participated along with overseas laboratories in the INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY FOR ANIMAL GENETICS HORSE comparison test (a biennial blind test of the same set of equine samples) the AEGRC has participated in this test since it’s inception and has always scored 100% accuracy and has done so again for the 2015/2016 test. Please view the attachment.

18.01.2022 Warning to American Saddlebred owners and breeders in Australia. At the present time, ASSRA (American Saddlebred and Sporthorse Registries of Australia) has not filed an end of year Financial statement for the last 2 years. Several people have sent forms and money and have received nothing back. I can only advice you not to send anything for the time being. If you have any questions, please contact John Stephenson at CAV or ask here.

16.01.2022 As many of you know by now, Rae-Jon Bunting, the owner of Harlequin Stud has had a severe set-back health wise. I will not go into details. She is in serious need to cut back on her work load and sadly that means she needs to reduce her number of horses. She has a number of horses she is going to sell, so if you know of anyone looking for a good horse, please let them know of Harlequin Stud.

11.01.2022 NEWS FROM THE REGISTRY. With a little help from expert friend, a gaited Registry or Sub Registry is now in the works. This will cover all gaited horses from Americas as well as cross breds. Horses will be assessed from a video by at least 3 people. We are going to find volunteer assessors from other countries as well.

08.01.2022 More good news. :)

07.01.2022 ASHAA Inc. IS BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND. It appears to be good news day today for many people. Greyhound people in NSW will be happy that the ban is reversed and maybe some people are not, but it may save lives of dogs if run right, and Saddlebred people Australia wide will be happy to hear that ASHAA Inc is back good and solid in Queensland. Keep an eye on this page for more news.

03.01.2022 News from desk of Registrar. As I have had too many incomplete registrations sent in and also wrong paperwork, I will need to change some of the relaxed rules etc, to maintain my own sanity. All DNA and JEB must be done via the Registry again at listed cost. All monies must be included with the registration papers or deposited in the account prior to papers being sent in. A stamped and self-addressed A 4 envelope to be included with papers as stated on the registration fo...rms. This saves me time driving 25 km to post-office. All incorrect or incomplete papers will incur a $5 fee for double handling. At the present I have several sets of papers that need added work. All fees are listed on web-site as well rules for registrations. www.horsesofamericas.com Thank you for your understanding. Lise Graber See more
