25.01.2022 Every year in November the City of Melbourne comes alive with the sound of music during Melbourne Music Week. However due to Covid-19 we are unable to celebrate this month. Fortunately it has not only been post-poned, but it will be extended. From December, Melbourne will be celebrating its wonderful musical culture for 3 MONTHS! And what better place to be than the heart of the CBD! If you were unsure about returning, this is the perfect incentive. Come spend the best part ...of summer celebrating and supporting one of the industries that makes Melbourne stand-out from the rest. #melbournemusicweek #melbourne #livemusic

20.01.2022 With Melbourne starting to open up to the rest of the country, and summer just around the corner, we are looking forward to seeing both new and familiar faces! Who is also excited and will be coming to join in our festivities?!

15.01.2022 For two weeks, Melbourne florists are flower-bombing iconic the city with 18 floral installations. Spring has well and truly sprung. And from November 14 to 27, 18 large-scale floral installations will overrun iconic locations across Melbourne as part of the City of Melbourne’s new Urban Blooms initiative. We have this gorgeous display "The Perfect Storm" by Floral Architecture just outside our front door. As a matter of fact if you want to get Melbourne's best brunch at Deg...raves Street 3000 you get to walk right underneath it! The biggest installation "The Arch Of Resilience" by Flowers Vasetteis a botanical arch six metres high and 18 metres from end to end can be seen from our kitchen! But we wont be sharing a photo as we believe you need to see it with your own eyes. #melbourne #urbanblooms #spring #degraves

14.01.2022 During Melbourne's lockdown period our guests have made excellent use of the Netflix in our cinema room. But now they have run out of things to watch. What have you been watching during your isolation that you can recommend? #Netflix #chill #quarantinemovies

13.01.2022 To be able to go on a long drive soon...

12.01.2022 In the lead-up to Christmas, and the end of Covid-19 lockdowns, Melbourne’s iconic buskers take over the city’s streets and laneways, with daily performances at over 20 locations between 11am and 7pm. the ANZ Australia City Vibes program provides a lifeline for Melbourne’s busking community who’ve been unable to perform throughout lockdown, and of course our laneway is one of those spots! Today we were blessed by the skilful guitar playing of the kind man known as 'The Axe a...nd Coco'. The vibes at United and Degraves now come with a live and ever changing soundtrack from Melbourne's finest. Can it get any better than that?! #CityVibes #Melbourne #LiveMusic #degravesstreet #lanewaysofmelbourne

07.01.2022 Oh My God It’s happening!!!!!!!

07.01.2022 Its time to SHOP TIL YOU DROP Black Friday is coming! City of Melbourne is a shoppers paradise. We recommend walking 10 minutes north of our building to the ENORMOUS Melbourne Central. This section of the CBD loves a good shopping event, and Black Friday will be no different. There will be DJs, a major treasure hunt and fashion experts roaming the centre. Plus, parking is FREE!... The only problem with being surrounded by so many bargains is having to carry all your bags around. Fortunately our Private Rooms have enough floor space to keep more bags than you will ever need. (Challenge Accepted?)And our dorms come with large under bed lockers so that you can feel comfortable leaving your new luxuries with us.

06.01.2022 DID YOU KNOW?! There is a common urban myth that the design for Flinders Street Station was intended for Mumbai and the design for the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus railway station (originally named Victoria Terminus) in Mumbai was meant for Melbourne. In 1899, a competition was held for the design of a new station in Melbourne. First prize was awarded to James Fawcett and HPC Ashworth who won 500 for their French Renaissance ‘Green Light’ project. However it has long been... reported that the plans were accidentally switched resulting in a Gothic style station in India and a vaguely East-Indian style building in Melbourne. Whether you believe it to be true or not, you can admire the architecture of the Australias first train station from our enormous kitchen whilst you enjoy our delicious free pancakes, tea, and coffee every morning! #melbourne #flindersstreet #architecture #urbanlegends

05.01.2022 Melbourne is returning back to it's glorious, vibrant and social self and Degraves Street 3000 is still as beautiful as ever. The city's best brunch spot is back!
