24.01.2022 A special thank you to the young ones who instigated our drive to assist the farming communities. So far we have sent out nearly 1500 dollars in vouchers and a ute load of grocery items. Many thanks to IGA Young for collecting th money and goods and to the Lions club volunteers who are at this moment distributing the vouchers and goods to the most affected communities. Please get behind this appeal as conditions are dire across most of the state.

24.01.2022 Good evening all. We have made it to day 70, we won't linger on how many more days of the same are to come. Let's thank God that we have the good health we have, for the rain reviving our parched earth and the good friends and loving families that help to make our days bright. It would be nice to hear back from some of you to hear how you are going and what you are doing to fill in time. 23.01.2022 WELCOME THE HOLY SPIRIT’S PRESENCE I will pray the Father and he will give you another helper that he may abide with you forever, the spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him, but you know him for he dwells with you and will be in you. John 14:16-17 Lord, teach me everything I need to know about you. And enable me to exhibit faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. You are the spirit of wisdom, grace, holiness, and life. Y...ou are the spirit of counsel, might and knowledge. Spirit of truth help me to know the truth in all things. Thank you for leading and guiding me. Thank you for being my helper and comforter. Thank you that your spirit within me enables me to walk in your ways and do your commands. Amen. DATE WITH DESTINY No eye has seen nor ear heard and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him. But it was to us that God revealed these things by his Spirit. 1 Corinthians 2:9-10 What do you want to be when you grow up? It's the question your parents and teachers always wanted to know. As a kid it was the stuff of dreams. Maybe one day you imagined you'd be the president. The next a helpful doctor. Or a fireman. A famous ballerina. Or a vet. But as you got older, the question seemed less ethereal. Course choices were made. And ultimately you found yourself outside of school, either working your way up to an anticipated destination, or wandering along an unexpected path. But God's children never grow too old to dream because his ultimate plan for you lies beyond the parameters of this life. Your career here is not a destination or an identity. It's merely one of God's many chosen methods to make your heart, soul, and mind ready for the amazing glory that lies ahead. Whether you're a CEO or a CCT(chief cleaner of toilets) you can embrace your duties with a thankful heart and mind filled with promise. You have a date with destiny. God himself who has adopted you as a Royal member of his family. Our Coronation day is coming. Remember the things I have done in the past. For I alone am God. I am God and there is none like me. Only I can tell you the future before it even happens. Everything I plan will come to pass. Isaiah 46:9-10 If you do not hope, you will not find what is beyond your hopes. St Clement of Alexandria. NOTHING ABOVE US, NOTHING BELOW US, OR ANYTHING ELSE IN THE WHOLE WORLD WILL EVER BE ABLE TO SEPARATE US FROM THE LOVE OF GOD THAT IS IN CHRIST JESUS. Romans 8:39 No matter what you do, no matter how far you fall, no matter how ugly you become, God has a relentlessly undying, unfathomable, unquenchable love, from which you cannot be separated. Ever.

21.01.2022 April 4 Behold, now is the day of Salvation. 2 Corinthians 6: verse 2 let any Christian begin, then, and he will speedily experience how the blessing of the present moment is passed on to the next. It is the unchanging Jesus to whom he links himself: it is the power of a divine life, in its unbroken continuity, that takes possession of him. The do it now of the present moment-- a little thing though it seems-- is nothing less than the beginning of the ever present now, whic...h is the mystery and the glory of eternity. Therefore Christian, abide in Christ: Do it now. By Andrew Murray Stay safe Stay clean Stay well Keep Faith

21.01.2022 Be Still And Know In the midst of our adversities, When all hope seems to be no more, There's a Saviour whom we can turn to,... Who stands at our hearts' door, Saying, "Be still and know I am God." When our questions go unanswered, And our prayers appear to fall on deaf ears, Be assured that the Lord, He is listening! The message He has is quite clear, "Be still, and know I am God." Wait upon His precious plans and promises, Be not quick to outrun His will, For His ways and thoughts are not ours, In HIS timing ALL things will be fulfilled, If we'd just "Be still and know HE IS GOD." - Linda Lee Wolovich

20.01.2022 June 4 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. John 7:37 Admirable indeed is the longsuffering of the saviour in bearing with some of us year after year, notwithstanding our provocations, rebellions, and resistance of his Holy Spirit. Wonder of wonders that we are still in the land of mercy. Provision is made most plenteously; all is provided that man can need to quench his souls thi...rst. To his conscience the atonement brings peace; to his understanding the gospel brings the richest instruction; to his heart the person of Jesus is the noblest object of affection; to the whole man the truth as it is in Jesus applies the purest nourishment. Thirst is terrible, but Jesus can remove it. Though the soul were utterly famished, Jesus can restore it. Proclamation is made most freely that every thirsty one is welcome. It is not goodness in the creature which brings him the invitation; the Lord Jesus sends it freely, and without respect of persons. The sinner must come to Jesus, not to works, ordinances, or doctrines, but to a personal Redeemer, who His own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree. No waiting or preparation is so much as hinted at. A fool, a thief, a harlot can drink; and so sinfulness of character is no bar to the invitation to believe in Jesus. Blistered, leprous, filthy lips may touch the stream of divine love; they cannot pollute it, but shall themselves be purified. Jesus is the fount of hope. Dear reader, hear the dear Redeemers loving voice as He cries to each of us. If any man thirst let him come unto me, and drink. by Charles H. Spurgeon See more

17.01.2022 What a day! Sunday 29th July, 112 members of our community gathered to be a part of the Annual Winter Luncheon hosted by the Uniting Church families. Working as a team, our very young members introduced their plan to begin their own place where they can come together, to be positive members, and play a proactive part within the community. A special room at the Uniting Church premises, where the children will meet, will be called The ARK. The young people will plan relev...ant activities and have lots of fun with friends and family. Called The ARK (Acts of Random Kindness) the young adults and children plan to take part in activities that support and help others. FIRST INITIATIVE! Support our farmers. A terrific initiative was put forward by the children of Rachel Pritchard and Jackie Osborne at the Luncheon. Zaviar, Shanae and Jesse came up with the idea of supporting our farmers in the grip of drought. Their idea is to raise money by collecting plastic bottles to be exchanged for cash to support the farming families. They know farmers in drought effected areas need hay for their stock, dog food for their working dogs and food for themselves. Everyone at the Uniting Church are keen to help them to achieve their vision. With the generous kindness of Robert Donges of IGA we are supporting the children in the fundraising. Mr. Donges has offered to collect vouchers from bottles returned to the collection post in the carpark to go towards this appeal and has also pledged $1000 to start up the appeal. An outstanding sum of money was also generously donated by the luncheon guests to support the farmers. Congratulations to the children for their ACT of RANDOM KINDNESS. Congratulations and thankyou to the Uniting Church fellowship members and extended Young Community who contributed to the success of another hearty Winter Luncheon! Keep an eye on the Uniting Church Young & Donges IGA Facebook pages for ways you can help these children & the church to help our farmers. See more

16.01.2022 April 6 For us the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that they fear him. Psalm 103 verse 11 Once, while we were on roll call, a cruel guard kept us standing for a long, long time. Suddenly a skylark began to sing in the Sky, and all the prisoners looked up to listen to that bird song. As I looked at the bird I saw in the Sky, I thought of Psalm 103:11. O love of God, how deep and great, far deeper than Mans deepest hate. God sent that skylark... daily for three weeks, exactly during roll call, to turn our ways away from the cruelty of men to the ocean of his love. Thank you Lord, that you are always willing to turn our eyes in the right direction unto you. By Corrie ten Boom Monday - Holy Week Prayer Matthew 26: 26-35 Lord God, Six days before his death, your son sat with Lazarus, Whom he had raised from the dead, And ate dinner with his friends. Once again, your gospel tells us, Martha served, And Mary knelt at Jesus feet To anoint them with costly perfume. The disciple who was about to betray him Said that it was a waste. He didnt care about the poor, really He just wanted to fill his own pockets And make Mary feel ashamed. Lord God, Often we cannot discern what is best: When to pour out costly perfume for your sake, Even if the world thinks it a waste. When to be busy serving, Or when to rest at your Sons feet and learn. Give us ears to hear you and eyes to see. For the sake of your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen. 15.01.2022 GOD ALWAYS HEARS YOU WHEN YOU PRAY Jesus looked up and said, Father I thank you that you have heard me. I knew that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here, that they may believe that you sent me. John 11:41-42 father God, I thank you that I am your child and a joint heir with Christ. Because of that I can trust that you always hear my prayers. Help me to maintain ongoing communication with you just as Jesus did so that I may have... a deep and abiding walk with you, and you will be glorified because of it. Thank you for caring about the cares of my heart. Amen. PERSONALLY YOURS. Behold thou desirest truth in the inward parts; and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom. Psalm 51:6 Do we want to be used of God? Are we quite sure that we are ready to be used of the Lord? God knows whether we are. In the case of Joseph there was a lot of sorting out in his personality that had to be done, and I can tell you this, God can do it. God as he prepares to do his work will sort out our personality defects, many of which may have been superimposed upon us. It is easy for us to say I am like this because my mother was this way, or my father did this or that. It is easy to blame our parents for the way we are. We may be shy. We may be forward. We may be reserved. We may be arrogant. But we should never think that any personality trait or hang up, or any other blemish rules us out as God's messengers to our generation, For God can deal with us. He certainly dealt with Joseph. All the happy trimmings that accompanied Joseph’s life at this time would shortly be purged by a sovereign God. We must remember that parents have their faults too. The reason that Joseph was the favourite child was partly because he was the son of Jacob's old age. That doesn't excuse, but we must forgive our parents and then hope that our children will forgive us. Nothing is more ridiculous than being bitter against our parents all our lives. We must sort ourselves out and let God deal with us until we are responsible for being just like we are. by R. T. Kendall NO ONE CAN ENTER THE KINGDOM OF GOD WITHOUT BEING BORN OF WATER AND THE SPIRIT. John 3:5 When you believe in Christ, Christ works a miracle in you. When you believed in Christ he identified you as his own by giving you the Holy Spirit. You are permanently purified an empowered by God himself. The message of Jesus to the religious person is simple; it's not what you do. It’s what I do. I have moved in. And in time you can say with Paul. I myself no longer live, but Christ lives in me.

14.01.2022 Good evening to all as we enter deeper into isolation and uncertainty with further restrictions being placed on gatherings. We do know however that God is with us every step of our journey and he will continue to be with us. We may not notice his presence in our daily turmoil but he is there all you need to do is look around you at the special things that are occurring at this time and believe that each little bright spot in your day is a hug from God. I am going to post 2 le...Continue reading

13.01.2022 The Road Of Faith Shine your light O Lord So that I may see Just where I am heading And what’s in front of me... Your word is the light The lamp unto my feet It may not light far ahead Nor show me where it’s steep But it gives enough light For each step I take Just enough to see ahead Along this road of faith For this is what it surely is As we walk with Jesus Christ The road that we are travelling on Is by faith, not by sight So shine your light O Lord So we may see our way Though you only show in part It’s enough for each new day By M.S.Lowndes April 15 And Simon Peter stood and warmed himself. They said therefore unto him, art not thou also one of his disciples? He denied it, and said I am not. John 18: 25 And this is the disciple who had been surnamed The Rock Our Lord looked into the morrow, and he saw Simon's character, compacted by grace and discipline into a texture rough and firm as granite. But there is not much granite here! Peter is yet loose and yielding; more like a bending reed than an unshakable rock. A servant girl whispers, and his timid heart flings a lie to his lips, and he denies his Lord. Peter denied the Master, not because he coveted money, but because he feared men. He was not seeking crowns, but escaping frowns. He was not clutching at a garland, but avoiding a sword. It was not avarice but cowardice which determined his ways. He shrank from crucifixion! He saw a possible cross, and with a great lie he passed by on the other side. But the Lord was not done with Peter. He is still in the making. Someday he will justify his new name. Someday we shall find it written: When they saw the boldness of Peter, they Marveled! Once a maid could make him tremble. Now he can stand in high places, steadfast and unmovable. From the spirit of cowardice and from all Temporizing, and from the unholy fear of man, deliver me, Good Lord! by John Henry Jowett.

13.01.2022 KNOW WHO YOUR FATHER IS As many as received him, to them he gave the right to become children of God to those who believe in his name. John 1:12 Heavenly Father, I thank you that you have given me the right to become your child. Help me to live in your love and comprehend the depth of your care and your concern for me. Take away any barrier that keeps me from fully understanding what it means to trust you as my Heavenly Father. Help me to take on a family resemblance so that ...I have your eyes, your heart, and your mind. Amen. RIGHTEOUS ANGER UNRIGHTEOUS ANGER God said to Jonah, Doest thou well to be angry. Jonah 4:9 Anger is not always or necessarily sinful, but it has such a tendency to run wild that whenever it displays itself, we should be quick to question its character with this in inquiry, Doest thou well to be angry? It may be that we can answer yes. Very frequently anger is the madman's fire brand, but sometimes it is Elijah’s fire from heaven. We do well when we are angry with sin, because of the wrong which it commits against our good and gracious God, or with ourselves because we remain so foolish after so much divine instruction, or with others when the sole cause of anger is the evil which they do. He who is not angry at transgression becomes a partaker in it. Sin is a loathsome and hateful thing, and no renewed heart can patiently endure it. God himself is angry with the wicked every day, and it is written in his word. Ye that love the Lord, hate evil. Far more frequently it is to be feared that our anger is not commendable or even justifiable, and then we must answer, ‘no’. Why should we be fretful with children, passionate with servants, and wrathful with companions? Is such anger honourable to our Christian profession, or glorifying to God? Is it not the old evil heart seeking to gain Dominion, and should we not resist it with all the might of our newborn nature? Many professors give way to temper as though it were useless to attempt resistance, but let the believer remember that he must be a conqueror in every point, or else he cannot be crowned. If we cannot control our tempers, what has grace done for us? We must not make natural infirmity an excuse for sin, but we must fly to the cross and pray the Lord to crucify our tempers, and renew us in gentleness and meekness after his own image. by Charles H. Spurgeon . IF THE SON MAKES YOU FREE YOU WILL BE TRULY FREE. John 8:36 Trying to make it to heaven on our own goodness is like trying to get to the moon on a moonbeam, nice idea, but try it and see what happens. Listen! Quit trying to quench your own guilt. You can’t do it. There's no way. Not with a bottle of whiskey, or perfect Sunday school attendance. Sorry. I don't care how bad you are. You can't be bad enough to forget it, and I don't care how good you are. You can't be good enough to overcome it. You need a saviour.

(John 11:37). Thats the question posed by people who had gathered to mourn with Martha and Mary, in the days after their brother had died. 12.01.2022 RESPONDING TO GOD’S LOVE For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16 Lord Jesus it is hard to comprehend life so great as yours. You laid down your life for me so that I can live forever with you. I ask you to help me to lay down my life fully for you in serving your purpose here on earth. My response to your first loving me is to love you wholeheartedly in return. Forgive me on ...the days I failed to show my love to you. Amen. WHITE AS SNOW Most important of all continue to show deep love for each other for love covers a multitude of sins. 1 Peter 4:8 The kids are giddy with excitement as if Christmas is coming tomorrow. Only the present they hope to open lies outside. Peering through the window at slate-coloured skies and sterile ground you wonder if the weather forecasters have gotten it right this time. But in the next morning's light you behold the miracle of answered hope. All that had been dark and dreary now gleams a brilliant white, a deep blanket of snow covering what seems like all of creation. Sparkling like many diamonds in the light, the world seems brighter, cleaner, purer than you could ever imagine. And you marvel at how in just mere moments God could make the barren so beautiful. And then you remember. That's just who God is! He's the one who brings life’s beauty. In the wonder of snow, God whispers his power to white wash your soul. No matter how bleak the landscape of your life has been. His cleansing forgiveness covers over all and creates an entirely new beautiful scene in its place. So when you see the snow, remember your soul, you can be just as clean and new. You can sparkle with the grace of God's love and forgiveness shining down on you, brightening the world. Come now and let us reason together says the Lord. Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow, though they are red like crimson they shall be as wool. Isaiah 1:18 In his love he clothes us, and folds us, and embraces us, that tender love completely surrounds us, never to leave us. Julian of Norwich THE SPIRIT PRODUCES THE FRUIT OF LOVE JOY PEACE AND PATIENCE. Galatians 5:22 have you asked God to give you some fruit? Well I did once, but what? Did you grow impatient? Ask him again and again. He won't grow impatient with you pleading and you will receive patience in your praying. And while your praying ask for understanding. Patient people have great understanding. Could it be your impatience stems from a lack of understanding? Mine has.

09.01.2022 Today we gathered together at the Uniting Church for a Luncheon where the wonderful Adrian Single and my beautiful sister Rachel announced their vision for The... Ark - a place for the children of the community to gather, create, learn, explore & interact. This is just the beginning of The Ark, and Rachel has asked for feedback and ideas from the community, most of all from the children of the community, she and the church want you all to be apart of this, from the very beginning. If you have any ideas please share so that I can pass them on. Im so proud of Rach and all the hard work she is putting into this. Adrian also talked about 100 acts of kindness. After watching the news and seeing first hand the effects of the drought Zaviar, Shanae & Jesse decided they wanted to do something to help. They have been working with Rachel over the past few weeks to brainstorm ideas to help Farmers. They know farmers in drought effected areas need hay for their stock, dog food for their working dogs and food for themselves. So Adrian & the uniting church is helping them to achieve their vision. They will be collecting cans and bottles/vouchers to donate and Mr Donges from IGA Young has also got behind these beautiful children and their thoughtful journey by Donating $1000 to their appeal!!! The congregation also donated money to the appeal. Keep an eye on the Uniting Church Young & Donges IGA Facebook pages for ways you can help these children & the church to help our farmers. Im so proud of all of you. The Ark is the beginning of what will be an amazing journey to help the children of our community initiate our Acts of Kindness project. #ucyactsofkindness #thearkyoung #unitingchurch #childrenmakingadifference

08.01.2022 Here's a Poem/Hymn by John Nicholson that you may have heard before. "Come, follow me", the Saviour said. Then let us in his footsteps tread, For thus alone can we be one... With God's own begotten Son. "Come, follow me, a simple phrase, Yet truth's sublime, effulgent rays Are in these simple words combined To urge, inspire the human mind. Is it enough alone to know That we must follow him [here] below While trav'ling through this vale of tears? No, this extends to holier spheres. Not only shall we emulate His course while in this earthly state, But when we're freed from present cares, If with our Lord we would be heirs. We must the onward path pursue As wider fields expand to view, And follow him unceasingly, Whate'er our lot or sphere may be. For thrones, dominions, kingdoms, pow'rs, And glory great and bliss are ours, If we, throughout eternity, Obey his words, "Come follow me." Christ set the example for us. His example is a model for us to follow. We accepted the challenge to follow him when we accepted the gospel. At baptism, and each time we partake of the sacrament, we covenant to follow Christ. The following extract is taken from a book titled Daily Treasures of Wisdom it has daily Bible verses followed by a little reflection written by various writers. April 3 forget not my law; but let your heart keep my commandments: For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to you. Proverbs 3:1-2 lover of all I hold me first by thee, ruler of time, king of eternity. There is no great with thee, there is no small, for without art all, and fillist all in all. The newborn world swings forth at your command, the falling dewdrop falls into thy hand. God of the firmaments mysterious powers, I see thee thread the minutes of my hours. Amy Carmichael has beautifully bound together in her poem the two ancient concepts of time. One, expressed by the Greek word kronos, refers to the minutes of our hours or the notion of duration and succession. The other, Kairos, is called time evaluated signifying instrumentation and purpose. Man needs to see himself significant, in the light of events. of Kairos, seeing himself hopefully in the context of a greater reality than his own temporality of the Kairos. I hold me fast by thee, ruler of time, king of eternity is the expression of faith that my temporality is understood only in the infinite context of eternity. Not even the tiny dewdrop lacks the care and attention of the lover of all. Shall I then think of any detail of my earthly life, even so little a thing as a minute of one of my hours as without meaning. By Elizabeth Elliot Stay safe Stay clean Stay well Keep Faith

07.01.2022 TRUE WORSHIP The hour is coming and now is when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth for the Father is seeking such to worship him. John 4:23 Lord, it is my greatest privilege to exalt you above all and proclaim that you are King of Kings and Lord of Lords, I praise you for your Holy Spirit who leads and comforts me. I praise you for your wisdom and revelation. I praise you for your peace and joy. Thank you that you are in charge of my life and no...thing is too hard for you. Thank you for enabling me to do what I could never do without you. Lord help me to worship you in ways that are pleasing in your sight. Amen. GRUDGES Thou shalt not avenge nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself; I am the Lord. Leviticus 19:18 How searching is that demand upon the soul? My forgiveness of my brother is to be complete. No sullenness is to remain, no sulky temper which so easily gives birth to thunder and lightning. There is to be no painful aloofness, no assumption of a superiority which rains contempt upon the offender. When I forgive, I am not to carry any powder forward on the journey. I am to empty out all my explosives, all my ammunition of anger and revenge. I am not to bear any grudge. I cannot meet this demand. It is altogether beyond me. I might utter words of forgiveness, but I cannot reveal a clear, bright, blue sky without a touch of storm brewing anywhere. But the Lord of grace can do it for me. He can change my weather. He can create a new climate. He can renew a right spirit within me. And in that holy atmosphere nothing shall live which seeks to poison and destroy. Grudges shall die like cloud spots in the dawn. Revenge, that was full creation of the unclean, feverish soul, shall give place to goodwill, the strong genial presence which makes its home in a new heart. by John Henry Jowett WE ARE COMPLETELY FREE TO ENTER THE MOST HOLY PLACE WE CAN ENTER THROUGH THE CURTAIN CHRIST’S BODY. HEBREWS 10: 19-20 To the original readers, those last four words were explosive, that curtain, Christ's body. According to the writer, the curtain equals Jesus. Hence, whatever happened to the flesh of Jesus happened to the curtain. What happened to his flesh? It was torn. Torn by the whips, torn by the thorns. Torn by the weight of the cross, and the point of the nails. But in the horror of his torn flesh we find the splendour of the open door. We are welcome to enter into God's presence any day anytime.

06.01.2022 Hello all. Just adding a little story here that should not be too infectious to anybody. BODY BUILDING It was he who gave some to be Apostles, some to be prophets, some to be Evangelists, and some to be Pastors and Teachers, to prepare Gods people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Ephesians 4...: 11-13 Once there were four men named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody. They all met together to form a Church. Everybody was excited. Somebody yelled, praise the Lord! Anybody can do this! They all shouted in agreement. Nobody kept still. Everybody was to bring Somebody to Church. Everybody was to welcome Anybody. And Everybody would leave Nobody to himself. Somebody was to preach the morning message. Somebody was to sing a heartfelt solo. Somebody was to acknowledge Anybody who needed prayer or to announce upcoming events of interest. Anybody could give prayer requests. Anybody could give announcements of interest. Anybody could bring a covered dish and help with the childrens Sunday school. Anybody could be an usher and greeter. Nobody would be excluded. The next Sunday came. Everybody overslept and forgot to bring Somebody to Church. Embarrassed for not bringing Somebody and missing Church. Everybody couldnt face Anybody and stayed away. Somebody could have called Anybody but was too proud that he would be dependent on Anybody. And that Sunday you couldnt find anybody. Only nobody showed up. The Lord has given each of us gifts so we may minister to the Church. When we use our gifts the body of Christ is built up. Do you know what gifts Christ has given you? Are you using your gifts today? Today thank God for your gifts and ask Him how you can best use them. Have a good day. Stay well, stay strong, keep clean and trust God.

03.01.2022 April 9 That you being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all Saints, what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; and to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge. Ephesians 3: 17-19 The elevating and perfecting of character come largely through sorrow. This is the mystery of the cross. All process is by crucifixion. Experiences sad and dark, seemingly cruel, press upon us. The past is tear-worn an furrowed, and the future glooms... with the shapes of trial. like Paul, we know not what shall befall us there. Only the Holy Spirit witnessed to him, and experience witnesses to us, that afflictions abide us. I murmured at this, until I saw the crosses and stakes an racks and scaffolds of all ages, and the white feet of those who made these the stairways up which they climbed to light, to truth, to God. light breaks when I see Jesus, scarred with whipping, thorn-crowned, staggering up Calvary beneath his cross. I falter sometimes when I try to say, It is good for me that I have been afflicted But I can now and then catch a glimpse of the truth of it, when the light of some suffering and conquering hero breaks through the blinding mist of my tears. Gethsemanes have deeper and grander meanings than Canas. by brother Lawrence. April 10 While they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. Acts 1: 9 About his death, resurrection, and ascension: What is that all about? they asked. The redemption of the world. he replied. But you have come back here, how will the world know about it? I have trained my men. To evangelise the whole world? Yes, indeed every corner of it. How many men did you train for such a mammoth task? A handful. A handful? but what if they fail? If they fail, I have made no other plans. But is that not a great risk to take? No, they will not fail. by Corrie ten Boom Stay safe Stay clean Stay well Keep Faith

02.01.2022 March 28 The Lord lives; and blessed be my rock; and exalted be the God of the rock of my salvation. 2 SAMUEL 22:47 No graver danger threatens the believer than that of forgetting that he was redeemed; forgetting even in the joy of realized life what our salvation cost, and what is the rock foundation of our faith. To meet this need, our Saviour pictures Himself not merely as the Rock of Ages, and our strong rock of refuge, but the rock of our foundation. Here, in Him and upo...n His merit and atoning grace, we were saved from among the lost. Let us glory in this precious name and never forget that He was wounded for our transgressions and that He bore our sins in His own body on the tree. T.C.Horton & C.E. Hurlburt. 02.01.2022 GALATIONS 6: 9-10 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers. The Lord leads us to times when we are stretched beyond normal limits. He gives us much to do and little time to do it. Are you making the most of every opportunity to do good? Today in prayer thank Christ for every opport...unity to live for him. Do good, and leave behind a monument of virtue. Write your name in kindness, love, and mercy, on the hearts of all you come in contact with; you will never be forgotten. .Thomas Chalmers Prayer: God of wilderness and water, your Son was baptized and tempted as we are. Guide us through this season, that we may not avoid struggle, but open ourselves to blessing, through the cleansing depths of repentance and the heaven-rending words of the Spirit. Amen.
