22.01.2022 Good Afternoon I am inviting contributions from our local women for a book of information, stories, recipes, hints and tips, etc for living in our rural area from Turkey Beach down to Rosedale and everywhere in between. This will be a book of contributed items by local rural women (as individuals or as a group) to share with other local rural women. All contributors will be acknowledged with a brief bio and photo added along with their contribution. I would love all our loc...al women to contribute to the book, whether through contributing a piece or providing feedback on what they would like to see in the book. This will allow people reading the book to learn a little bit more about the women who are in our community. It will be up to the women as to what they want to contribute, but it has to be something that has meaning for them, eg, a favourite recipe that reminds them of something or someone. Along with the contribution, everyone will need to do a brief introduction as to why they chose the piece. So what needs to be provided: Introduction to the contribution (one or two sentences) Contribution Brief bio (where from, how long lived here, why/what brought you to the area, what you love about it, etc) (a few sentences) Photo of yourself preferably, or photo of something local that is special to you. If this can be done electronically, then great, but if not possible, we could look at documenting the piece via a recording or even over a cuppa. I’m thinking one page per person/group, maybe 2, depending on the contribution. Also, we are looking for a name of the book to reflect the women who live here, so I would love a name that reflects that. Please send me your contributions or ideas for contributing to Deb Sanderson via e-mail [email protected] by Friday 27 March 2020. If you would like more information about the book, please contact Deb on 0427 170 633 or send a private message on messenger. Please share with the women in your life who you think may be interested in contributing to the book.
