13.01.2022 Food for families: Right now, it’s difficult for us to know what we will be able to do by Christmas. We know the need is there in fact data from our services shows that demand for food relief is growing. Food For Families is a way for you to provide practical support this Christmas and throughout the year to come. By donating or supplying food and other essential items, you can ensure people in crisis can access the basics they need to get through a difficult time. Most of ...our emergency relief services are operating and still accepting donations of non-perishable food and household essential items. So if you have items you wish to donate and can visit one of our drop off points while respecting your local restrictions, please call them directly to confirm any site specific requirements. 12.01.2022 A huge congratulations to Uniting Barwon’s Local Hero Peter Wheeler! The votes have been counted and Peter is one of the 2020 Westfield Geelong Local Heroes! Thanks to everyone who voted for Peter, Uniting Barwon will receive a $10,000 community grant to support the community programs Peter has set up at the Uniting Barwon Op Shop in Wendover Avenue Norlane. Peter would like to thank all those who helped to promote the community voting and all those who did vote. Thank you all!

01.01.2022 National Recycling Week: 6 TONNES of textiles are sent to landfill in Australia every 10 minutes. Many items in wardrobes, cupboards or garages are barely used or needed. Donating them ensures the valuable resources and energy that went into making them are not wasted, and raises needed funds to support our local communities.
