20.01.2022 Westminster Aged Care held a beautiful commemorative service for Remembrance Day last Wednesday. Staff decorated the room with poppies and fresh rosemary, and residents enjoyed several readings, poems and songs over morning tea. Raymond was proudly wearing his medals as he walked the length of the room to lay the wreath. What a special way to remember those we have lost through war.

17.01.2022 In light of the NSW outbreak and new travel restrictions, anyone who has been in NSW since 11 December, or in close contact with someone who has, is not permitted to enter a UnitingSA site. This includes our Residential Aged Care homes. Impacted individuals should also follow government guidelines regarding quarantine and testing: https://bit.ly/3peZSfY... As this is a rapidly evolving situation, our restriction on NSW travellers will be reviewed by our COVID-19 Response Team tomorrow. Thank you for your understanding as work to ensure the safety of our community and those we support.

14.01.2022 Due to new COVID-19 cases emerging in our community, UnitingSA’s COVID-19 Response Team has made the necessary decision to re-activate visitor restrictions across our aged care homes from 10am tomorrow (Friday 27 November). This means: All visits will be temporarily suspended (except for agreed end-of-life visits) All resident outings will be temporarily suspended (except for health emergencies)... We realise this news may be disheartening for many of our residents, families and friends, as we have just re-opened our homes to visitors today. However, we take this necessary course of action with the wellbeing of our residents at the forefront of our minds. For more information: http://ow.ly/2gwN50CvlZK
