23.01.2022 Here's the squat from Richie's earlier post #Repost @richardlelys Unity Gym... Seeing some great progress in my lower body strength. Low Bar Squating, dead lifting and hip thrusts consistently each week is putting a noticeable amount on the bar and ...the butt apparently. Squats have always been my arch enemy. (Lower body strength has always been my weak point). But these long stilts I have for legs hasn't stopped me from chasing constant improvement. I know I don't have the strongest squat and deadlift and they aren't anywhere near what I'd like them to be. ( But it's nice knowing that my dedication to consistency is taking me forward. 1kg at a time. Don't skip leg day.

21.01.2022 Introduction to the gymnastics rings ... how do you do it? . Slow and steady, slow and steady. . The gymnastics rings are unforgiving, they go where you're weak. But that's also what makes them such a great tool.... . They strengthen your weaknesses. . Just start slow and gentle, don't try anything you haven't worked towards and earned the right to be doing. 21.01.2022 Calisthenics is one of the most motivating reasons to train. . Why? . Because it's just so cool being able to do thing like the back lever. Well done @ebfighter

20.01.2022 If you want to get flexible then you have to prioritize stretching. . So if you go to a gym that tells you they prioritize stretching and the way it's delivered is in stretching classes i.e. a class devoted to stretching ... . Then you'll never build a true balance between strength and flexibility.... . Why? . Because you'll be forced to either choose a stretching class or a strength class each time you train. . It doesn't work, something will suffer. . The only way to create a balanced body is by including strength, flexibility and fitness in the same class. . The way we do that is very unique and very effective. . Come see for yourself with a 7 day FREE trial, click the link in our bio. See more

19.01.2022 The strength and flexibility gains at Unity Gym are measurable. Jamie couldn't even do an assisted straddle up (using her hands) a few months ago. . The gains she's made with her middle splits are also matched by her strength gains, in the squat, deadlift, bench press, pull up, muscle up ... and much more. . A results driven program should be holistic and balanced. ... . Unfortunately if you're doing 1 hour group training sessions you won't find a program that balances strength, flexibility and fitness AND produces these kind of results anywhere else. . Don't believe us? . Come in and try for yourself, we can easily back this up with our members achievements and testimonies . Join our 7 day free trial ... Click this link to learn more https://trial.unitygym.com/ Train alongside driven people like Jamie who are demonstrating constant progress. . This is what your gym time should be like. Fun, rewarding and results driven

17.01.2022 Pull ups are a staple exercise in any strength training program. But if you can't do them they can seem impossible. . We teach a proven method to get you there and beyond. . Come in for a free trial and try it out click the link in our bio for more info.

17.01.2022 If you're a strong dude or dudette and you want try something that will make you feel weak and incapable, have a go at compression strength . An essential part of calisthenics skills like the press to handstand. . Unfortunately most accomplished athletes never make it past their first attempt at compression strength and other valuable movement practices.... . Why? . Their huge egos ... . The more accomplished someone is, the bigger their ego is (not always, but usually). . And our egos protect us from feeling embarrassed or from feeling like a failure. . Which is a real shame, because if you gravitate to what you're good at and avoid what you're bad at you won't get much better at anything. . The greatest opportunity for growth lies in what you suck at most. . So embrace the beginner mindset, run towards what you suck at instead of running away from it. . Soon you'll be good at whatever it is you embraced and that's the magic of learning See more

13.01.2022 Calisthenics is very hard to progress from one progression to the next because you can't incrementally add weight. . You've only got your body weight to play with. . We use bands where applicable to bust through strength plateaus and get to that next progression.... . Well done on your planche progress @yurijaeger See more

12.01.2022 Calisthenics createa motivating goals that keep you engaged with your training. It's a great way to test how your strength and flexibility is progressing and a lot of fun. . But you have to know how to choose the right progressions for your ability which is what we coach our tribe to do. . You can see some of our tribe working different progressions to the tuck planche.... . All in the same class, all at different levels, each doing a version of the same movement that suits their current capability. . 10.01.2022 Ever wanted to get really strong AND flexible at the same time? . Think it can't be done? Think again. . @marklloyd600 is one of many at Unity Gym proving that you can get athletic strength and flexibility in the same 1 hour workout.... . Today he just benched 112kg for 2 reps at 82kg bodyweight . What's impressive is not just that this is a personal best, but only 2 weeks ago Mark attempted this lift and failed miserably. . Mark told us this morning that he can't believe how much our program is changing his physique and capabilities. . 08.01.2022 Testing week! It's tough to stick to a strict tempo but essential to track progress. . For our testing we measure the front squat against the back squat. We like to see the front squat to be 85% of the back squat. . Well done Al

08.01.2022 #Repost @kalieshamay Unity Gym There is no movement I despise more than this one. ... . Straddle ups... Mobility for the middle splits, can honestly say with absolutely no reservations, this fucking sucks, and I never want to do it again. . However I will, because of the ol' saying, success is found outside of your comfort zone. See more

06.01.2022 Train strength and flexibility in a 1:1 ratio for a truly balanced body

06.01.2022 Do you play sports? You need this! . The nordic hamstring curl is one of the most effective ways to increase athletic performance and reduce risk of hamstring tears. . It's far superior to isolated hamstring curls which is why we include it on our squat day (Tuesday) every week.... . So if you want to run faster, change direction quicker and play for longer without getting injured, get these into your weekly training. See more
