23.01.2022 The Australian Government announced five visa changes to support international students during the coronavirus pandemic. To find out more information, please visit: https://minister.homeaffairs.gov.au//supporting-internatio The changes include: 1. The Government will recommence granting student visas in all locations lodged outside Australia. This means when borders re-open, students will already have visas and be able to make arrangements to travel.... 2. International students will be able to lodge a further student visa application free of charge, if they are unable to complete their studies within their original visa validity due to COVID-19. 3. Student visa holders studying online outside Australia due to COVID-19 will be able to use that study to count towards the Australian study requirement for a post-study work visa. 4. Graduates who held a student visa will be eligible to apply for a post-study work visa outside Australia if they are unable to return due to COVID-19. 5. 18.01.2022 Dear Students, The Australian Government has recommended that Schools and Universities remain open at present but may be closed at any time moving forward. To this end, UBSS has made the decision:... to suspend face to face teaching at the close of business on this Friday, March 20. We believe this will help to protect our student body from unnecessary exposure. Mid Trimester Tests #2 scheduled to start on Monday, March 23 are cancelled. Next week there will be no classes. The following week (Commencing March 30) all classes will resume with staff on site at UBSS and students accessing lectures and workshops electronically and remotely. No students will be on campus. The timetable will remain the same for all subjects. We will send students (next week) the details of how to access classes via MyGCA. We are confident that UBSS will deliver quality outcomes in this new online mode. Thank you for your patience and support at this difficult time a difficult time not just for UBSS but for all of Australian Higher Education that is grappling with the impact of the virus.
