22.01.2022 Here is some footage the Gladstone team took at Port Alma just over a week ago unloading Bulka Bags using their Grove GMK5130-2. Each lift was between 15t & 16t including a 10 bag lifting frame. A total of 3,500 bags were offloaded over 7 shifts, 24hrs per day. Very impressive!!

Our 300t Liebherr LR1300W crawler crane equipped with 110m main boom derrick and suspended ballast tray is on site at the Mt Emerald Wind Farm, owned by RATCH Australia, located approximately 50km outside of Cairns in Queensland. 17.01.2022 Universal Cranes Pty Ltd and Bruce Highway Upgrade Caloundra Road to Sunshine Motorway (CR2SM) recently collaborated to complete the new pedestrian footpath at Sippy Downs. The work included the installation of 4 x 72 tonne, 32 metre concrete girders over a 2 night schedule which included the closure of the Sunshine Motorway, performed with our Grove GMK7450 requiring 160 tonne countweights and Mega Wing. The entire team were outstanding, completing the first girder install...ation and completely demobilising the 450 tonne crane, then relocating into a tricky second lift location and partially remobilising. The second night closure of the Sunshine Motorway allowed for the completion of the 450 tonne crane’s mobilisation over the road and the installation of the final two girders. The assistance of our 25 tonne Franna crane, including removal of PCB’s & shifting of equipment was crucial in achieving the project’s goals with a tight timeframe. Many thanks to the entire CR2SM and Universal Cranes team for their fantastic attitude and collective efforts in achieving a great outcome for the final bridge installation on the CR2SM project.

08.01.2022 Earlier this week, Universal Cranes had the privilege to work with the team at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Brisbane and The Calile Hotel to lift the impressive Rolls-Royce Ghost Extended for its unveiling. Our team secured the car (very carefully!) to a sturdy base plate and used a spreader bar and sling set up, along with our 100T crane to ensure a safe lift 7 stories up onto the roof of The Calile Hotel in Fortitude Valley. The lift was executed perfectly - great work Casey and team!
