14.01.2022 Here’s an example of a faulty safety switch, they should be tested every 6 months by pushing the test switch. If it doesn’t trip then it needs to be replaced ASAP!!! Remember a safety switch (AKA RCD) is what protects you and your loved ones from electric shock in the case of a fault. In the video you can see I’ve pushed the test switch on the first safety switch and it tripped as it should, then when I push the test switch on the second switch it doesn’t trip. Another common... fault can be that the switch will trip but then not reset, in this case you’ll need an electrician to come replace it to get your power back on that circuit.
