24.01.2022 VEHICLE SIGNAGE! A highly cost effective strategy to advertise your business, and an easy way to attract new customers everyday! This particular sign was printed on polymeric vinyl, with an ultra violet and weather resistant matt laminate, so the colour won’t fade, and it will last for years out in the elements. My customer Stephanie from Bliss Architecture had a design almost ready, but needed help to finish it off and arrange print management on her behalf. I have spent wh...at seems half my life analysing and preparing files for print. The image resolution was good, however I identified it needed conversion from RGB to CMYK colour, as well as add 5mm bleed. Note it is common for customers to not realise these things. It’s often necessary to adjust files, and create the final Print Ready PDF that the printer can use. My skill in this area saves time and money for customers, as the printer would have rejected the original file. When I submit a file for print, the customer and printer can rest assured the file has been carefully checked, and any potential issues have been eliminated, creating a smooth stress free experience for everybody. Chinese printers do not have to pay myriad costs imposed by Australian government regulation such as super, taxes, OHS and environmental compliance. Purely Graphic design, this ran for several years in the early 2000’s, and most of my work was for Transac products. This was back in the day before Bunnings dominated the market, so fortunately for me Transac were doing well in the tool and workshop essentials market. Try to appreciate the time it took back in the day to put... this together on computers from around 20 years ago! Infact I was probably still working on a Mac Classic system OS 9.2! (see picture). Back when Quark was the page layout king, before InDesign. How times have changed!
