24.01.2022 Steve gives us a sneek peak of his pre gig ritual

16.01.2022 Throwback to this ol' banger This song started with Sean Ahrbeck (Drums) recording an instrumental demo which included the iconic guitar riff (which Dom later re-crafted). This was the first song where we as a band explored more jazz/improvisational styles of performance. Sean and Steve used to have jam sessions as a Duo fleshing out ideas which would either turn into Universal Outcast or The Dead Amigos songs.... The first half of this song was recorded to a metronome but then was turned off during the "Riders Of The Storm" inspired breakdown. The drums combined with Lachie's chorus drenched bass, Steve's spooky piano and synth set the perfect scene for Dom to have a meltdown on his venomous guitar solo. Then there is the final chorus where the whole band has lifted and elevates Steve as he channels an Eddie Vedder/Peter Gabriel arena rock belt "Im hanging onto them, The spiders in my head. I'm hanging by a thread, Like a spider from a web" Link Below

04.01.2022 SHADOW This was one of the many pumping rock songs that Dom brought to the band. What started off as an already cohesive idea, grew into an emotionally intense epic with the help from the rest of the band, including new drummer Shane McMahon.... Sean had left pretty big shoes to fill (Size 13 for memory), yet Shane just picked them up and threw them out the window. Shane exploded onto the band with confidence as a hard rock/psych rock drummer. There is a lot of crossover in harmony within this track which is what makes it such a unique song. For example: The intro where there is a clear connection between Dom and Lachie with lead and countering melodies. Whilst that is happening, Steve and Shane hold down a tight rhythmic buildup which adds more power. The lyrics were very well put together by Dom and Steve too. A very simplistic "Sleepless//Shadow" chorus is anthemic in its own right and extremely relatable to anyone who has woken up in the middle of the night questioning their idea of self.
