24.01.2022 Congratulations to all the UWCC players who have been selected by CNSW for the U19s and U16s squads. Olivia Porter; Lara Graham; Jade Allen; Frankie Nicklin and (reserve) Maddie Case. Big shout out to our Country Players who travel some miles to play for us, many thanks to the Allen, Case and Graham families. Olivia too who is with ACT Meteors (but she drives herself mostly!)... Play hard!

On Friday night at the Cricket NSW Premiers dinner Maddy was awarded 1st Grade Captain of the Year and named in the Women’s 1st Grade team of the Year!!! 22.01.2022 On Saturday our young Marrickville Cricket Club friends from U15 Prichard (1/66) defeated Ryde Hunters Hill Pirates CC (7/64) in the U15 Girls Summer Season Grand Final. A special thank you to our own very own Erica who assisted throughout the season with coaching and training. Sophie M retired not out on 25 and Ally T knocked up a handy 15 not out. Ally bowled 1/2 (off 2, one maiden), Hannah R 2/8 (from 2) and Coralie C, Sophie M and Gracie S all picked up wickets. ... CONGRATULATIONS!

With the season well and truely concluded we would like to congratulate Sydney Tigers Womens Cricket Club on their title First grade Premiers! Ladies and Gentlemen- This season saw UWCC take out the 1st grade T20 premiership in amazing fashion.... 18.01.2022 Universities Women’s Cricket Club would like to congratulate Lisa Sthalekar on her induction into the ICC - International Cricket Council Hall of Fame on the 23rd of August 2020. Lisa was a founding member of UWCC in 2004 and was the first inaugural First Grade captain for UWCC- wearing cap number 1. Lisa was a member of the NSW Breakers and Australian Women’s Cricket team for many years and has helped shape the way many women and girls play today. Lisa helped Australia win ...4 World Cups across her career, she played 8 Tests, 125 ODIs and 54 T20 internationals for Australia. Lisa is just the 9th woman to be inducted to the ICC Hall of Fame and the 5th Australian Women. From all of us at UWCC, Congratulations Lisa! #UWCC #wearenavygoldandblack

08.01.2022 One of the slightly fun things about being a senior cricket player is that you may get to go and meet some kids and celebrate their end of season. Tonight Stella flew the flag for Sydney Sixers (and quietly for us at UWCC also) at Marrickville Cricket Club’s Stage 1 Presentation evening. Not only did Stella speak of the joy of playing with her friends she bowled a ball to every player there AND let some of the Mums go a bit fan-girl with her! ... Thanks Stella and congratulations to all the Stage 1 players on a fabulous season.
