For those still interested in playing rugby league at usc message this page on how to get to our private Facebook group and get on our individual training program through the team heroic app. Developed and managed by our strength and conditioning coach. Message from the coach- Now due to all the new regulations brought in its restricted our training massively. But that doesn’t mean we stop.... Just like our field sessions though, you train. You play. Rugby league is more than just some stats and figures so it’s not the only thing I’ll look at when it comes to putting boots on the ground come game day. But you can guarantee that the players busting ass are going to get the first foot in the door, regardless of position, skill level or anything else that can influence that decision to put on a usc jersey. Do what you can, however you can, wherever you can at the best you can and that’s the standard that’s expected. Note that I’ll also be using the program myself. Urlq hasn’t officially announced their position just yet on how this year will go due to the fluid nature of the situation and timelines given. so stay on your toes and be ready. USCRL 2020 *the program utilises social distancing practices and will abide by the most recent regulations and guides as the covid-19 situation evolves*

06.01.2022 Well done to the 2019 USCRL 9’s team for getting University of the Sunshine Coast team of the year and our coach for receiving the his award too! This team was a ragtag group of blokes who hadn't really met each other outside of 1-2 people max. We formed a team through mateship, determination and the love of rugby league. Throughout semester 2 of 2019 we trained on Sunday afternoons with one of two mid-week sessions closer to the date to get us all on the same page as a team.... We came away with placing 3rd in the national competition a result we wear very proudly and has helped lay the platform of culture and competitiveness that we carry on into USCRL to this day and for the future. We have all helped contribute and build a sporting team and club for university students that promotes inclusivity and competitiveness. We have developed a culture where everybody has an opportunity to earn or lose their spot, without taking ourselves too seriously and created an understanding of each other's situation with our studies due to all being in the same boat. Since then we worked hard to have two friendly games against the powerhouse of Queensland Universities Rugby League competition where we came away with a convincing home win showing we're a contender for 2021 competition. We’re Constantly looking for ways for students to implement their degrees through the club to help build their resumes and create good relationships with local schools, businesses, and rugby league clubs to help prosper the club in the future.
