15.01.2022 Kelpie in soft pastel. Experimenting with a few things. My favourite medium is, by far, oil paint, however I do like how quick it is to create a detailed pastel drawing, no waiting time between layers, so you can keep drawing til your hearts content. Hate the mess pastels make though but still fun to have a play around. There are always pros and cons of any medium.

08.01.2022 Is the fate of the White Rhino set, I truly hope not. I started off with the idea of painting a Rhino as I have always wanted to do, but as the painting progressed there was a slight surreal feeling to the painting I started to see, whether this was subconscious or not, I liked the way it was going. Maybe this is what I envision, that one day we won't have these beautiful creatures, and they will only be photos, paintings and memories. We need more people to stand up for cons...ervation and protecting our endangered species and the biodiversity of our planet. We want to see the wonders of nature for generations to come, and not be asking ourselves "what could we have done differently?". Everyone can make a tiny difference to the planet, even if it is as small as saying no to single use plastics, or raising awareness for something you love. You may only be one person, but so is the next person and the next person and so on. So if thousands of people just like you make one small change in their life to help the environment, the impact will be huge, think about that.
