21.01.2022 Road Works Notice Please note that if you are coming to the Centre today for a swim, there are significant road works occurring around the streets adjacent the Centre. Diversions are in place, so please follow the signs and allow yourself a bit of extra time to arrive for your booked session.... We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

21.01.2022 Dear Swim School Families, Thank you for your patience, understanding and support during the recent Swimming program hiatus due to the Covid 19 restrictions. Some restrictions have now eased and we have been given the green light to resume our swimming lesson program commencing this evening, Tuesday 1st December.... In order to re-start we do have a few procedures to follow that ensure we are meeting our legislated requirements and also a few reminders for participants: - To assist with our density controls 1 Parent per child may attend the facility during the students class time, if possible and when safe to do so, siblings of program participants are encouraged to stay at home or in care and not to attend the facility during the program. - All parents will need to register the QR code on arrival for attendance, please allow time for this, as is a mandated government requirement to gain access to our facility. - At this stage no recreation swimming can be offered before or after lessons. - Please arrive ready to swim and quick use of facilities after the lesson to change is requested. - If you have been instructed to isolate or have been to one of the identified hot spots are ill or have any symptoms, please do not attend the lesson. In regard to managing lost classes, now that we are able to resume swim school we will be providing a number of alternative options to manage this, with this information to be made available no later than Friday 5th December close of business. If you have any questions or require any further information then please do not hesitate to ask.

20.01.2022 The time has arrived! Membership passes for the remainder of the 2020 / 2021 season are now available to purchase at the Centre. All the prices have been updated and can be viewed at unley.sa.gov.au .... This season, everyone who purchases a membership (Season Pass, Multi Visit Pass or Group Fitness Pass) will need to read and complete a Terms and Conditions form prior to purchase. We have copies of this form available onsite to complete. Alternatively, you can head to our website and download the form and pre-fill it prior to arriving at the Centre to save you time. 17.01.2022 Lap Swimmers Lap swimming will return to the Unley Swimming Centre as of Tuesday 24th November from 6am. Bookings for these sessions will open via unley.sa.gov.au from 6pm Saturday 21st November.... The following restrictions are in place for the reopening of the Centre: - Every patron attending the Centre is required to pre-book their session online. Staff are able to assist those who need it via 08 8372 5456. - Patrons can only book 1 session per day. - Sessions are for 1 hour only. (Maximum of 1 hour in the water and 15 minutes after to use the change rooms and leave the Centre). - Swimmers are asked to arrive swim ready where possible as change rooms will not be available prior to your session. - Belongings are not to be stored in the change rooms while you swim. - Maximum of 4 swimmers per lane at all times. - All food and beverages from the cafe are takeaway only at this stage.

15.01.2022 Aquarobics and Yoga Classes Aquarobics classes will return to the Unley Swimming Centre as of Tuesday 24th November from 6:30am. Yoga classes will return to the Unley Swimming Centre as of Wednesday 25th November from 7:00am.... Bookings for these sessions will open via unley.sa.gov.au from 6pm Saturday 21st November. The following restrictions are in place for the reopening of the Centre: - Every patron attending the Centre is required to pre-book their session online. Staff are able to assist those who need it via 08 8372 5456. - Patrons can only book 1 session per day. - Patrons booked into either an Aquarobics or Yoga class are not able to book in for a lap swimming or rehabilitation session on the same day. - Sessions are for 1 hour only. (45 minutes class time and 15 minutes after to use the change rooms and leave the Centre). - Class sizes have been reduced to 10 participants maximum for correct social distancing. - Participants are asked to arrive program ready where possible as change rooms will not be available prior to your session. - Belongings are not to be stored in the change rooms during your class. - All food and beverages from the cafe are takeaway only at this stage.

11.01.2022 Following the Premier’s announcement, on Friday 20 November, on the easing of COVID-19 restrictions, changes will apply to Council services and facilities including the swimming centre. Commencing Tuesday 24 November Council facilities will reopen normal business hours. Resuming services on this day will provide staff time to establish services that are in line with the revised restrictions, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all staff and visitors. ... 11.01.2022 Membership Sales Suspended In response to the community transmissions of Covid 19 experienced in South Australia over the past 24 hours, membership sales have been suspended as of 10:30am today 16/11/20 for the immediate future. This decision will be re-visited in the next 72 hours as the situation evolves.... 2020/21 Memberships purchased to this point will be honoured and reviewed accordingly should further restrictions be put in place. All other admissions to the facility for the time being will be at the advertised casual rate of entry. We acknowledge any frustration this may cause and apologise for any inconvenience felt. 10.01.2022 Public Reminder On Recreational Swimming Restrictions Dear patrons, We understand this Thursday, Friday and through the weekend will see temperatures rise to 40c. ... Unfortunately, due to current COVID-19 restrictions (in place until Tuesday 1st December), pools are NOT open for public access to recreational swimmers. They are only open for rehabilitation and fitness (lap swimming). The advice from Recreation SA to avoid disappointment is to: - plan ahead, - check to see if your desired centre is open and make a booking if required, - ONLY to attend for fitness or rehabilitation swimming, - come properly prepared if you do visit, - and WATCH AROUND WATER to keep your family safe. Our centres would love to see you, and we value your business, but we may have to turn visitors away if you are not swimming for fitness or rehabilitation purposes. We can’t wait to see you again once these restrictions have been lifted and thank you for your understanding. This season, we require anyone who purchases a Season Pass, Multi Visit Pass, Group Fitness Pass or Age Friendly Pass to complete a membership form. 07.01.2022 The Unley Swimming Centre opens again tomorrow but please remember that you must book in! We know how much you all want to swim so today the team have spent hours cleaning and making the entire centre sparkle for your return. From 6am tomorrow we will be open for Lap swimming and Rehabilitation sessions only.... Unfortunately under the current government directions our Swim School, Recreation Sessions, Birthday Parties, Carnivals and Squad Training cannot operate. This work is scheduled for first thing tomorrow morning and we will advise you once the hot water has been switched on again.... 05.01.2022 Covid-19 Restrictions Update 02/12/20 Recreational Swimming We are excited to be able to welcome back recreational swimmers, however under current pool capacity limits put in place by the latest SA Government Directions, this can only be made available at our facility at specific times.... A capacity limit of 50 patrons total has been placed on our main 50 metre main pool and our junior pools are subject to a 1 person per 2 square metre provision. With this in mind: Our junior pools will be made available for recreational swimming as often as possible, but the main pool is available for lap swimming only. Our junior pool area is most suitable for families and children aged 6 months to 10 years with appropriate guardian supervision. The junior pool area will be limited to a combined pool capacity of 50 persons per session Sessions will be offered in two hour allotments, and all available sessions and their capacity will be advertised on our website. Bookings to all sessions will be absolutely essential to ensure entry. We sympathise with any frustration or inconvenience this may cause. As capacity limits change we are committed to adjusting our operations to best cater for our community, so please keep an eye on the website or follow the Unley Swimming Centre on Facebook for updates. The rehabilitation lanes are solely for those looking to use the water space for injury rehabilitation, gentle exercise and water walking. Lap swimming is not permitted in these lanes.... Bookings for these sessions will open via unley.sa.gov.au from 6pm Saturday 21st November. The following restrictions are in place for the reopening of the Centre: - Every patron attending the Centre is required to pre-book their session online. 02.01.2022 Covid-19 Restrictions Update Thank you for everyone’s well wishes, patience and understanding over the past 24 hours while we have assessed our obligations under the newly announced Government Covid-19 Directions. The good news is that the facility at this stage will remain open for limited operations. We have reviewed our operations and controls to ensure all our valued customers and staff remain safe, and to ensure we continue to set a socially responsible example for our c...ommunity. Again, we acknowledge these new controls may present challenges to our customers. However, the changes put in place at the beginning of the season were aimed at providing us with the flexibility to either relax conditions around how people use the centre as the pandemic evolves, or enable us to tighten restrictions if the situation escalates. Unfortunately we currently find ourselves in the latter position and it remains a reality that we are currently experiencing very challenging times in which we need to quickly adapt to changes as they occur. Revision of Operations at the facility as of 17/11/2020. - Memberships will not be sold in the immediate future and all entries to the Centre will be via the advertised casual entry prices. - All Recreational bookings have been cancelled for the immediate future. - All patrons who wish to access the centre for all services must pre-book using our online system, time limits are in place on all sessions 75 minutes for lap swimming (60 minutes in-pool time and 15 minutes changeroom time). - Bookings can be taken for pre-assigned session times for lap swimming, rehabilitation and program classes only, with capacity limits in place. - Lanes will be limited to a maximum of 4 swimmers. - Patrons will be limited to booking one session per day. - Swimmers are asked to arrive, swim ready and to limit changeroom access during their visit, 15 minutes maximum will be allocated at the completion of your swim, with no items to be left in the change area. - We are seeking clarity on swimming lessons and will be in touch with participants as we know more. - Cleaning protocols at the facility have been increased. - The café food and beverage service is again limited to takeaway and packaged items only.
