05.01.2022 Friends, when was the last time you truly felt Unrushed? When was the last time you weren’t thinking about what happened yesterday or your to do list for tomorrow and simply be fully present? Chances are likely that it’s been quite a while.... If you’re like me, it’s getting harder and harder to unwind, untangle and disconnect to reconnect. Stress, overwhelm and burnout are increasing epidemics, which I’ve personally had many bouts with all to the demise and compromise of my own mental and physical health, and those I care about. I’ve struggled with chronic and severe migraines, stomach and bowel issues, insomnia, meibomian gland dysfunction (dry eye syndrome), back problems all linked to operating at a high frequency without stopping to recalibrate and repair. It doesn’t help that we live in a world where ‘busy’ is often praised and if we’re not operating full throttle, we can be seen as a weak, ‘slacking off’ or underperforming especially in the professional landscape. It’s why I was motivated to create Unrushed Experiences to help overworked professionals undo the damage of busy. Now, I’m excited to announce the next event: 6PM on Friday the 23rd of August at KOI Dessert Bar & Dining in Chippendale, Sydney. It’s a 5-course degustation menu with wine pairings, all designed by renowned Chef and top 4 season 7 MasterChef contestant; Reynold Poernomo named by many as Sydney’s Dessert King. World class live musicians will be playing on the night, including a Violin & Cello Duo who have performed for the Australian Symphony and Orchestras around the world, plus Lexi Clark and Rennie Adams both of whom have been finalists on The Voice. There will be Q&A with special guest storytellers in between some courses. We have the privilege of hearing from Chris Zumwalt (CEO of BridgeClimb Sydney) and Dr Carmel Harrington (PHD in Sleep Medicine and MD of Sleep For Health). To top things off, we’ll be marveling at well-known magician and mentalist Adam Axford who brings unique performances of mind-blowing magic and mind-reading with sophisticated style and sharp-witted delivery which he’s mastered for over 12 years.
