22.01.2022 "I'm working with a lot of organisations who are accelerating their structural transformation by two, three, or even five years. The big changes are around the #digitization of their business models. The main piece is around automation and machine learning, and these changes then drive structural changes in the organisation and require new skill sets to keep that automation moving. It's a journey that everyone is on and you will need to keep working on your skills, and organi...sations are going to get better at recognising new skill requirements as well." Listen to the AGSM The Business Of Transformational Leadership Part I podcast and hear more from guest Patrick Sharry, Chief Curiosity Officer at A Curious Drop and Adjunct Faculty member at AGSM at UNSW Business School. #AlwaysBeLearning #leadership #machinelearning #transformationalleadership #automation #innovation #podcast

Companies and consumers are increasingly interested in the issues around modern slavery because it is becoming more apparent in our daily lives." But this has opened my network, and it has been great being exposed to different ideas and industry mindsets. I see this as being extremely valuable in my current and post military career. #AlwaysBeLearning
21.01.2022 "When talking about digital transformation and change, it is crucial to actually strip your product and your purpose right down to its core and ask 'why do we exist?' For Melbourne Digital Concert Hall, what's fundamental is the musicians and the audience, and connecting the two. Everything else is superfluous in a way. Yes, it's great to have a big marketing team, but you don't need those things in a time of crisis. What you do need is to be very agile, to forget about your ...perfect product. You can't spend weeks running surveys or tweaking it or making it look brilliant. You need to grab your minimum viable product, and the sky's the limit in terms of what you can do, and just run with it. As we learnt in our final year of the #MBA, it's a design thinking process in action." Listen to the AGSM The Business Of Adaptive Leadership, Part 2 podcast and hear more from guest Adele Schonhardt, (AGSM MBA Executive 2019) Co-Director and Founder of Melbourne Digital Concert Hall. #AlwaysBeLearning #MDCH #businessofpodcast #businessleadership #adaptiveleadership #digitaltransformation #changemanagement

14.01.2022 "I think the nature of work and how we lead needs to continue to evolve and change. Leading people is a very human element. Leadership is about bringing a collective group of people together to achieve more than they would as individuals. That's what a great leader does, and somehow they enable you to go beyond what you thought you could do. And hopefully, that involves doing things differently because the fundamental value in people working with people is to create different...iation, do things differently, that then creates value: economic, social, or environmental."
