25.01.2022 Happy feast day of Our Lady of the Rosary! In a homily at Mass this morning I was reminded that when our Lady appeared in Fatima to the three shepherds, she said her name was ‘Our Lady of the Rosary.’ She asked these three young children to pray the rosary every day in order to obtain peace for the world and the end of the war. Never underestimate the prayer of the Rosary. It is powerful. It is "a weapon without a blade and without bullets, but incredibly more powerful than any other weapon. It can change the world. Today, as we do every day, we will be praying the Rosary together on Zoom at 12.10pm (link below). Join us if you are able. If you can’t join us due to prior commitments, pray the Rosary when you have a moment today. God bless! https://zoom.us/j/255960046

19.01.2022 (2/2) ‘The hamstring stopped me from going and the club never wanted to re-organise the trial. I was disappointed, and I didn’t understand initially at the time, what God was doing. So it was a period of struggle for sure, but also a period of contemplation like why has this happened. However I have learned, especially recently (from my second hamstring injury), discerning from it was that God has allowed these injuries to happen to make me stronger just like anything ...in life, it’s a struggle you have to deal with. And it can be overcome just like everything else, and at the end of the day, if you recover well and you trust in God to make you stronger, then you will come out of it better. I do think that I am much happier here in Australia, working towards a degree, with great mates, and to be really invested in all the things that I am doing. I didn’t understand initially at the time, what God was doing, but since then, I’ve had some of the most important and amazing days of my life. I’m confident in where God is leading me.’ ------------------------ This post is part of our new series, "Catholics of UNSW", where we share the stories of our incredible community.

14.01.2022 Have you ever wondered about the beauty of community life? Join us as we explore some of this forms of consecrated life! Some examples of forms of consecrated life are: Monasticism, Religious Life , Secular Institutes, Societies of Apostolic Life, Consecrated Virgins, and Hermits. Each of these forms expresses itself in a variety of different orders. Each order has a unique spirituality and charism. The charism of a religious congregation refers to the distinct spirit that animates a religious community and gives it a particular character. The works (apostolates) of the community reflect the charism.
