14.01.2022 Today we had shiai practice. The aim of matches in kend, known as shiai, is to fight to gain a point by striking a target. This is how to fight in kend. In a kend match, the targets we aim at are men (forehead), kote (the protection part from the wrist toward the elbow) or d (trunk) or tsuki (thrust at the throat).... When you strike those targets or thrust tsuki satisfying certain criteria of a valid cut, then you will be given a point by referees. If you are interested, come join the beginner's course starting on Wednesday September 25th!! To register click on the link below: https://forms.gle/fMut75EWmCydzXFf6
