Bio: Ileana-Cristina Benea-Chelmus is a postdoctoral fellow of the Swiss National Science Foundation and of the Hans Eggenberger Foundation at Harvard University in the John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, where she develops silicon-based ultra-sensitive electro-optical devices. She finished her PhD at ETH in Zurich in 2018 in the area of terahertz science and technology, with a focus on the characterization of terahertz fields on sub-cycle time-scales down to the quantum limit by using electro-optic interfaces.
