25.01.2022 Hi Everyone, I wanted let you all know about the two leadership exploration days we are running in these January holidays. These days are for anyone( year 7 and up) who is interested in learning more about leadership, who might want to be a youth leader or who is already a youth leader. As our Youth group continues to grow, we realise the importance of raising up and equipping leaders so that we can continue to grow and do ministry better. Ministry is a team effort and Youth ...wouldn't happen without our fabulous leadership team. Being a leader is another way that God can really grow you in your faith. These two days are designed as a taster into what leadership is all about and what being a leader in our youth team requires. And at the end of the two days you will be given the opportunity to "apply" to be a leader. All "applying" entails is sitting down with me(Naomi) and having a casual chat. Details: Wednesday 20th January 10am-4pm* @ Gisborne Church of Christ FREE Lunch & Snacks Provided Bring your own water bottle Wednesday 27th January 10am-4pm* @ Gisborne Church of Christ FREE Lunch & Snacks Provided Bring your own water bottle There will be an element of sit down and listening teaching but the majority will be practical hands-on learning and also games. It will be a fun two days *For those parents who are working these days and are unable to make these times, I (Naomi) will be at the church from 9am-5pm setting up and packing up so you are welcome to drop your youth off and pick them up at those times. I will only ask that they give me some help. I want to reiterate that these two days are for everyone(year 7 and up) and there is no expectation to become a leader, we would love to have you all there.
