25.01.2022 GFAR PhD student Rida Akzar presented in a webinar to over 130 people as part of the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research funded IndoDairy project led by Professor Wendy Umberger. His thesis, titled "Exploring relationships between changing food environments, food consumption behaviour, attitudes and nutrition outcomes for urban Vietnam, was supervised by Professor Wendy Umberger & Dr. Di Zeng. His research utilised data from two Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research projects in #Vietnam. Well done Duc!

04.01.2022 How sweet is this? #Vietnam is experiencing a diet and nutrition transition. Consumption of food with added sugars is a significant public health concern. Research by GFAR's recently submitted PhD student Nguyen Anh Duc, and his supervisors Prof. Wendy Umberger and Dr. Di Zeng, suggests nutrition labelling and front-of-package information on sugar content may help reduce sugar consumption. The study was part of an Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research fu...nded project led by Prof. Umberger.
