24.01.2022 Hello Everyone! Intro to D&D is tomorrow and we hope you are as excited about it as we are! The event starts at 5 PM on the third floor of Arts West. Beginning at 5 PM, there will be food, the opportunity to socialize and a presentation about the basics of Dungeons & Dragons. The game would start at 6 PM and would go on until 8:30-9 PM.... We will be capping the event as per DMs availability so if you want to play or know people who want to play who haven't signed up yet, please fill this registration form ASAP so we can get you a place. 21.01.2022 Hello everyone! Thank you all so much to everyone who participated in "Camp" this weekend. We recognise that it's not the same as if we were in persons, but y'all made the event really special and fun so thanks! We're back this week for some D&D on Thursday, here are the details.... D&D: Oh boy! Can't wait to dungeon these dragons! When: 2-5PM, 7-10PM Thursday 13th Where: https://discord.gg/7aKHgFF What: Come play D&D 5e at a session from those specific times. Please play in one session only as well. Come along 1 hour before if you need help making a character, want to learn how to play, or if you want to come chat with us! BTW If you want to play/GM a RPG system that isn't D&D 5e, please message the committee before the week where you run it i.e. 4, 6, 8 etc. The first possible week that can run these systems is week 4. 21.01.2022 Hello everyone! Hope you're all doing well! Here's an update on what we have planned for this week and for the future.... Board Games Are you tired of playing no board games or the same few? Do you just wish that there was a designated time for officially organising board game sessions? Or do you just want to socialise with new/old friends over a shared interest? If you answered yes to any of the above questions, and even if you didn't, do I have news for you. Wednesday from 2 PM on the TGS Discord Server is the time and place for board game sessions! During this time period, you can join/host some games or just hang out. This doesn't mean you can't play games at any other time. If you've been really wanting to play some Azul and its Monday at 3:21PM, you can still send out an invitation/request to others. Anyway, hope to see you all on Wednesday or even earlier for some Ms Monopoly. D&D Just to let you all know, official D&D runs every fortnight. The next one being on the 21st May. The adventures are posted on both the Facebook Group and in the Discord, and run on the Discord server. However, if you want to DM a session through the TGS server at another time, message us and then go for it. It doesn't even have to be 5e. 19.01.2022 Hello everyone! Hope you are doing well and staying safe. TGS has made the transition to online with a wonderful new TGS Discord! To celebrate this, we will be hosting a screening through the Discord and the site Watch2gether this Friday at around 6/7PM with a more solid time coming out closer to the date. What are we watching exactly? ... Well, everyone's favourite should have won an Oscar movie, Dark Dungeons. What is Dark Dungeons? Dark Dungeons is a movie that essentially takes the mickey out of the zealot hatred and fear of D&D prevalent in the 80's. Based on the comic by the same name, it exaggerates and makes fun of the fear from the satanic ritual that is tabletop games. This week join us with your wands and broomsticks as on Thursday, we will be running our MUPH x TGS D&D. It will be held on the 21st May at 7:30 PM on the TGS Discord Server. Using premade character sheets, you'll navigate the wizarding world of Harry Potter, 10 or so years after the final book. The Tri-wizard tournament is taking place, and you do not want to miss it!
