25.01.2022 With less than 24hrs remaining, the US Election is too close to call. UoN Libs Vice President Henry Maher says to write the Donald off at your own peril.
24.01.2022 We’re wishing President Donald Trump and the Republican Party Good Luck today! Keep America Great!
19.01.2022 Treasurer Josh Frydenberg outlined a great Budget during difficult times for Australia. Importantly the Budget didn't lose sight of the core values of the Liberal Party of Australia. We won't let the COVID recession destroy the values that built Australia up.
18.01.2022 Great work Minister Dan Tehan MP!
17.01.2022 Congratulations to our President Blake Keating on his election as President of the Australian Liberal Students' Federation!

12.01.2022 Today is R U OK Day, we've all been doing it tough the last few months. We can't socialize the same way we used to and many of us are separated from our extended family. So let's remember as the PM suggests, a Conversation can change a life, look to your friends and family and don't be afraid to ask "R U OK?".
11.01.2022 ALSF joint media release with the UQ Liberal National Club regarding the UQ Union disaffiliation attempts.
11.01.2022 Treasurer Josh Frydenberg is right, people need to have the right to access their own money in Superannuation during times of hardship. Superannuation doesn't belong to the Government, it doesn't belong to the Fund Managers, it's your money.
10.01.2022 Happy Birthday!
09.01.2022 Dan Tehan MP's changes to Higher Education are putting Students first and lowering the cost of Education for the degrees that are vital to Australia's future. Don't believe the Labor lies, get the facts. Read our blog post
08.01.2022 Treasurer Josh Frydenberg has delivered a great Budget during a time of immense difficulty for Australia. Great to see that the Hunter will be receiving over a Billion dollars in extra funding. The COVID-19 recession demands Government spending increase and that people who need support get it.... We are if course very concerned about the level of Federal debt, but this represents the failure of the Senate since 2013 to support savings and debt reduction measures.
05.01.2022 Tony Abbott is 100% right!
03.01.2022 Great to see the Newcastle Herald interviewing a wide range of people for this story! Labor Party Faction Player Labor Left Student... Labor Party Member And a Union Leader article does not state the political affiliations of those interviewed Doesn't even mention that the University of Newcastle is not awarding fail grades for people who have been adversely impacted by COVID-19. The HECS reforms that Dan Tehan MP and the Federal Government are launching will make it easier for people to get a nursing or teaching degree, it focuses our higher education sector on the industries that matter for the future growth of Australia. Here's what the Government's plan actually does: Requires that universities ensure that all students are academically suitable for their course of enrolment, and that students are engaged with the course and maintaining a reasonable completion rate. Guarantee's that a student’s HECS-HELP debts can be forgiven if their progress has been affected by special circumstances. A low completion rate would be a student who has failed more than 50 per cent of eight or more units in a Bachelor course. If a student can demonstrate circumstances have adversely affected their academic performance for example, illness or bereavement their education provider can allow for consideration of these impacts. If a student transfers to another course the low completion rate will not be carried with them. The article is just the same old Labor lies about higher education we've been hearing for years. And the Herald's "journalistic" standards are appalling, the article reads like an ALP media release.
01.01.2022 Lest we forget.
