12.01.2022 Hi Everyone! Sorry for the late notice, but due to current events the squash courts are closed and we will not be running training sessions or other activities until further notice. At this point in time, UON Squash Club's main care is for the health and well-being of our members and the rest of the community. We ask that everybody follows the guidelines and recommendations made by the authorities so the long term impact and growth of the COVID-19 pandemic can be minimised. I...f we all do this, the sooner things will return to normal. We will try to keep you posted on any further developments. We hope both you and your loved ones all stay healthy and safe -The UON Squash Club Team

11.01.2022 We will be starting an internal competition next Saturday for beginner/intermediate club members. It will be run in the normal time slot between 10am and 12pm. Come to the squash courts tomorrow morning for registration and grading!

07.01.2022 Congratulations to Uni 1 who took out the Spring 2018 Newcastle Squash Association Super Squash Pennant. That's back-to-back titles in 2018 having won the Autumn Pennant in June; great job guys!

01.01.2022 Due to the current pandemic, we will not be running the Saturday competition until at least the start of May. :'( The courts will still be open on Saturday morning and Tuesday evening for those who want to play squash (for the time being). We ask that those who attend take precautionary measures:... -Avoid physical contact or proximity when not playing, -Practice good social hygiene (cover up sneezes/coughs, wash hands frequently, don't touch face etc.) Replace handshakes with fist-bumps or similar. -If you are older or have a weakened immune system we recommend not attending at all. -If you are sick then definitely don't attend, even if it you think you're fine. Stay home, rest up, get better, and keep it to yourself! In this case, sharing ain't caring. As training runs twice a week, we ask that players try to distribute their attendance between the two sessions evenly to avoid crowding. Saturdays have been a lot quieter than Tuesdays for a looong time now, so if you can make both, only attend Saturday. *If you are going to attend, please comment which day below so others can gauge how many will be there.* Help keep yourself and others healthy in these trying times.
