24.01.2022 Come and join us TOMORROW for UOW Cheer and Dance's first training sessions! On tomorrow, we have: Jazz with Coach Emma @ 4pm - 5pm Cheer Red with Coaches Gee and Alicia (Normally Coach Kira) @ 5pm - 6:30pm ... Cheer Blue with Coach Bec @ 6:30pm - 8pm Then on Wednesday the 5th is Lyrical with Coach Jamie @ 6pm - 7pm All our dance classes are held in the Dance room (Sports Lounge) of the UniActive Building 13 at UOW. All Cheer classes are held on the Eastern Court of the UniActive Building 13 at UOW. Please remember to bring cheer shoes/light weight sports shoes for Cheer training. Cannot wait to see everyone there tomorrow!

18.01.2022 Attention all Dancers! UOW Cheer and Dance have had to make the hard decision to cancel Hip Hop and Pom classes for Spring semester 2020. We have sent an email to all those who wrote to us saying they were interested in these classes to inform you of this change and some other opportunities. ... It is very unfortunate that we cannot do these classes and we are sorry. However, FEAR NOT! UOW Cheer and Dance still have two other dance styles on offer, taught by some pretty amazing teachers! Jazz is taught by Coach Emma at 4pm-5pm Monday afternoons! Coach Emma's choreography is always full, energetic, sharp and completely on point! (If you like Pom, you'll like Emma's Jazz!) Lyrical is taught by Coach Jamie at 6pm-7pm Wednesday nights! Coach Jamies choreography comes from the heart. It is intricate, emotional and feels just so good to perform! We hope to see you at one of these classes next week, even if it is for the trial lesson! And for those lovers of Hip Hop. Our very good friend Coach Kyla from Academy of Cheer, is looking to run a Hip Hop class Wednesdays 5pm-6pm at AOC's gym in Oak Flats. 17.01.2022 Meet your executives for 2021! Introducing our 2021 Competitions Officer Alicia! Hi! I’m Alicia and I will be the 2021 Competitions Officer. In this role I am responsible for selecting the competitions our teams will compete in as well as organising the itineraries for the days at the competitions.... 2021 will be my final year at UOW studying a bachelor of Science Education. I have been doing competitive cheerleading since 2018 and during this time have had experience in both the UOW club as well as 2 Allstar clubs, NRG and Justice Athletics. These clubs have given me the experience and exposure to competitions I need in order to succeed in the role of competitions coordinator. In 2020, my team at Justice Athletics achieved the National Champion’s title which something I have always dreamed of winning (yes, we got jackets!). I would love to one day achieve grand champions or national champions with our UOW teams. I can’t wait to see where 2021 takes us as a club and I look forward to meeting our new members in the new year! See more

The ideal coach will have AASCF experience and be ready to hit the ground running in 2021. 06.01.2022 Meet your executives for 2021! Welcoming Kieley as UOW Cheer and Dance Promotions Officer! Hi, I’m Kieley! I’m currently studying a Diploma of Language in Italian. 2021 will be my final year of study. I have been dancing since I was little, and have just reached the 10 year milestone at my dance studio. I started cheering at my dance studio in 2013, where I took cheer as a hobby class. I started competing in cheerleading in 2019 for UOW, and have loved meeting new people and... performing with my team. In 2020, I competed throughout the year with Justice Athletics Retribution and we won National Champions for Adult Level 1. In 2021 I am excited to continue cheering with my friends and my team. I will also be taking an executive position as Promotions Officer. As Promotions Officer I hope to gain team support via our social media pages and encourage as many people as possible to try UOW Cheer and Dance. I hope that through this we can further the legacy of UOW and create lasting memories with friends and teammates. See more

02.01.2022 UOW Cheer is holding their first training for Spring session on Monday 3rd August! If you have ever wanted to know what the fuss is all about now is the time to come join! It will cost $10, which will then be taken out of the semester fee if you decide to join. We have two times on offer, you can come to one or you can come to both! Just register your interest by sending us an email at [email protected] with your name, student number and time you are interested in. Looking forward to seeing everyone there!
