21.01.2022 People often forget the most important member of a debate, THE ADJUDICATOR! And oh wow do we have a good adjudicator at SWORDS. Our wonderful Gracie judged at Euros and BROKE as an adjudicator!!! This is a huge tournament with people from all over Europe. We are so proud of her and hope she can give us some tips <3

20.01.2022 MALAYSIA AWDC 2020 CONGRATULATIONS to our fabulous SWORDS Contingent for their awesome performance over the weekend at Wom*ns - Mary Pilkinton... Winny Li Marie Russo Rhiannon Kernot Aleks Bell ACHIEVEMENTS Aleks received 13TH BEST ADJUDICATOR and also BROKE through to the QUARTER FINALS. Mary received 28TH BEST SPEAKER! This is the best speaker ranking SWORDS has ever received to date at this competition.

19.01.2022 Ming-Gong Wrap-Up! As you may have heard, UOW hosted the first in person debating tournament in NSW (and maybe Australia ) yesterday! While COVID changed a few things, it didn't change the fact that we had some great successes - our President, Dimi, was tied best speaker (much to his surprise-not sure why though ), and we had almost half our contingent made up of brand new 2020 SWORDS members who've stuck with us despite COVID absolutely SMASH their first in person Mini ...- so proud of you all, welcome to the SWORDS family! Shout-out to Mary and Seamus for CAing for us, Tom for tabbing, and Emma and Jeremiah for making the day a great success! Thanks to everyone who attended, we hoped you had as much fun as we did-see you (hopefully soon) in Wollongong for our next Mini...

17.01.2022 We had members attend 2 different tournaments over the weekend! (The benefits of online debating.) Mary, Marie and winny all went to Qld cup with first year Winny making it all the way to the grand final in a killer performance! Jeremiah decided to attend Proxime debate Open based in the Philippines. Beginning off his BP semester with an amazing job breaking 2nd at the tournament and ranking 4th best speaker !!! ... We have a feeling this semester is going to be a good one for SWORDS !!
