It’s therefore crucial that we educate ourselves on the issue and take meaningful steps to make a difference. 18.01.2022 What a year its been! Suffice it to say its been a challenging one. And yet, despite everything we have accomplished so much! We helped clean up our beaches, planted trees, raised awareness of mental health issues and raised money for the Yemeni people. Thats just to name a few! We also had the pleasure of working with some incredible organisations including Save the Children and Plastic Free Oceans. Not to mention the local Rotary groups who gave us the chance to help out ...with some of their amazing initiatives. While we weren’t able to do as much as we would have liked this year, we are still incredibly proud of how much we were able to achieve. Our Executive team would like to extend our sincere gratitude to all our fantastic members who gave their ideas, time and dedication to our projects. We have met so many amazing people in our community this year, who have reminded us of how important working together is in these hard times. With that, we say goodbye to 2020 and begin a new chapter. We can’t wait to see what the new year brings us! #community #workingtogether #newyear

The funds will help (directly from Save the Children's website): - Treat children already suffering from severe malnutrition and provide urgently needed food to stop others from becoming dangerously malnourished. - Run treatment centres and isolation units to treat children suffering from cholera and diphtheria and help stop these deadly diseases spreading. - Support 167 fixed health facilities and 23 hospitals to provide families with essential healthcare in a country where the health system is at a breaking point. - Provide psychosocial support to children to help them cope with what they are going through and set up spaces where children can feel safe to learn, play and begin to recover. 11.01.2022 Friends and partners This Saturday the 7th we will be holding our Share the Dignity collection drive stall once again this year outside Kings Langley Woolw...orths - 125 James Cook Dr, Kings Langley NSW 2147, from 10.30am - 3.30pm. Last year we made an incredible 132 bags. This year especially now, more women and children are in need and we aim to make 150 bags! Our share the dignity committee will be outside woolworths throughout the day and would love to see some friendly faces! 11.01.2022 Yesterday, our Rotaract Club turned 18! Which means the club can now go out and celebrate the proper way... if it wasn't for coronavirus. But more than that, our club has been looked after by one man for almost two decades. So as we cannot celebrate in proper fashion this year, we would like to take some time to appreciate the man who without we would not be here. Alf Harley has been with our club fron the start, having taken it from an idea and stayed with us ever since. We... could not have asked for a more kind, selfless, humble person to help us grow into the future leaders we are becoming. Thank you so much for always being there for us Alf, and next year we will party twice as hard for missing this birthday!

01.01.2022 Last night our team of @siszaroo @doug_with_hats and @heeeey_dan went toe to toe with the extrordinary team from the Rotary Club of West Wollongong! The debate was intense and the topic was a diffucult one to argue from both sides. But our team was crowned victorious. Climate Change is something that our club is very passionate about, and we are so proud and grateful for the opportunity to express that in a different way.... Massive thank you to Helen Hasan of West Wollongong Rotary for organising the debate, and the SBRC for hosting us last night.
