14.01.2022 Tomorrow, Thursday 10 September is R U OK? Day and this year's theme is 'There's more to say after R U OK?' 2020 has been a challenging year for everyone and circumstances have made it even more important for us all to stay connected and, for those who are able, be willing to support those around us. At UOW: University of Wollongong, Australia we are encouraging teams wear a splash of yellow, grab a cup of tea or coffee and host their own virtual morning tea. Remember to check out the R U OK Day website for information on how to ask someone R U OK?

14.01.2022 University of Melbouorne researchers have found the R U OK?Day campaign continues to be effective in spreading key messages about reaching out to others and empowering people to have conversations about life problems. https://www.facebook.com//a.27421586594/3159596094069293/

13.01.2022 Last Friday 7th Feb, UOW wellatwork were lucky enough to be invited to a #WomenInSTEM coffee gathering where the topic of discussion was - mental health. There were two guest speakers: Pauline from UOW counselling services who provided information about how counselling services can best support students who may be experiencing mental ill-health and Dr Amy Dougherty who spoke about her experiences in accessing support services at UOW and the importance of speaking up and ...getting help. It was a great morning and a fantastic reminder about the importance of looking after your own mental health! Thank you Illawarra Health and Medical Research Institute
