10.01.2022 Some men at Sissano chased me and grabbed my kayak so I could not move yesterday, after some time of me not giving in to their demands to land there on the beac...h they let me go. Then a lady on a speed boat watched over me for a km or two. Then more men from Sissano chased me down with a speed boat and one guy grabbed the mast of my sail and once again my boat was restrained while he took video and pictures of me complaining. The other men on the boat would not help me and they said they were not harassing me. I was very scared. I called Thecla T Davila and a boat from Aitape came out to accompany me until dark. Then they left me and I paddled a further 4 hrs in the dark to land safe at Tumleo island where Jack gave me safe lodging. I am now quite scared of PNG and the people on the sea which spoils my first week of good experiences. If anyone ahead around Wewak can give me boat support please let me know. See more
